Hello iam new to the forum and hope to get some advice abut my ty 250 s mono.I bought the bike as a runner but it would only run for 5 mins then the spark would disapear and then start again after cooling down.I took the cover off and the flywheel to dicover water in and around the stator[quite alot of water]there is damage around the casing where someone has forced the flywheel off [this is where the water is getting in ]my quetion is will i have to replace both the source coil and the pickup coil and where is the best place to get them and will water have got into the crankcase . Hope you can help

Hi just wanted to introduce myself, this is my first post ever online and my first delve into trial bikes. I live in South Shields, Tyne and Wear area. When i was younger i lived around Preston way and all me pals had trials bikes which fascinated me, i finally found myself in a good financial position and was offered a good deal on a 09 beta evo which i now own. Im sure i will ask everyone on here for help and advice along the way. I am currently struggling for practise places and advice near home, i have been travelling all the way down to the north west just to ride and practise and would welcome any advice.

Morning all, im brand new to trials. Ive just bought my first bike, sherco 2004 290. Still need to get some boots but got a decent helmet and gloves. Does anyone know of any clubs in Dumfries and Galloway or Carlisle area? What should i be starting out with? just practicing figure 8? and general riding and clutch control . Any and all advice welcome.

Hello Everyone, New to the Forum and indeed Trials... Earlier in the year i bought myself an old but exepctionally tidy, low use Gas Gas TXT 250 (2001), Love the chrome frame... Due to work and other biking commitments ive not really used it much but going forward into 2016 i want to put some real time & effort into getting out on it. Hi all, just acquired a FantIc 200 trail bike, needs a bit of TLC, never owned a trail bike before but have owned Enduro/Motorcross bikes before and have done some restoration and rebuilds, looking forward to getting this bike up and running again and taking it out in the summer cheers ?

I have been sitting on the fence ever since seeing the intro of the Montesa 260 at the Toronto Motorcycle Show. Finally jumped in with both feet and bought a mint 2016 260RT. Only gone through 2 tankfuls so far on the trails around our place, but what a machine. It just walks up slippery muddy slopes with ease and is so nimble compared to the GS 1250 I had at Clinton Smout’s 2 day course (highly recommended BTW) 2 years ago. I am wondering if there are any trials courses close to Port Perry On. Riding extremely slow is really really hard. Lol Hope to meet everyone at events next year and glad to be a member.

I'm a new member having come back to trials after 25 years or so off but riding on the road ect , just got a beta rev 3 270 and just can't wait to start competing again .I am going to rejoin my old club Alton and dist mcc and i have to say what a good and friendly club it is. I've not joined the acu yet so I don't know all the new rules yet . My question is about the marking system do different clubs interpret the rules their way or is it the same throughout the country . I know these questions will be answered when I join the club and acu but I'd like to know what's happening out in trials land . Island rich.

Hi. So I bought a doggy old stock Royal Enfield Bullet 350cc some months ago and got it running, bought a few new parts and turned it into a different animal! Here she is: (I have since fitted a smaller trials seat.) I've had so much fun ridding this bike all over the trails around where I live. A big heavy beast like this makes even the most gentle routes technical! HaHa. This technical approach to ridding has really got me thinking about trials ridding. Hello Trials Central. I'm just getting started in trials. Im in fact so new that I don't even have a bike yet . I woke up about a week ago and was suddenly obsessed with the thought of getting into the sport. I've been riding dirt for 35 years and am currently riding a ktm xcw300. I've got a couple offers out on trials bikes. A 2004 txt pro 125, and a 2012 beta 280 Evo, waiting very impatiently to see what happens. I'm sure I'll have a ton of dumb questions. I've watched all of Ryan Youngs instructional videos and a few others and am looking forward to being humbled.

Hi, I am embarking on a rebuild of my son's Montesa Cato 247: Engine & Frame number 21M22865,making it manufactured between October 1976 & March 1977. I have a question about the swing arm. The bike is fitted with a standard swing arm but I'd prefer to fit a longer one for trials use. My question is where could I source one or alternaticvely how much longer is a trial SA so I could consider lengthening the standard one. Thanks
