Hello All! I just picked up a relatively thrashed 2006 TXT Pro 280. Went out to Emma Long with the Wednesday trials group, and found its not as easy as it looks! I have no trials experience, but hope to use it to crosstrain for Rally racing. I am excited to absorb all of the information available in this awesome forum, and hopefully contribute as well! Hi all I have just joined and thought id introduce myself and say hi I am in the birmingham/solihull area and I used to have a ty 175 mony years ago when I was about 13 I have never entered any trials me and my dad used to go to bikenhill when they used to let trials bikes on there land it was actaully a very good practise site. Unfortunately I stopped going because my dad started working wkends and i was still to young to drive and nobody i knew were into trials aswell. my name is nick im 26 and im new to trials, ive just recently got myself a gas gas txt280(2000)i thought i would introduce myself as ive been on here a few times alresdy, i would be realy gratefull for any tips and advice for an absolute begginer. are there any techniques that i should learn first or should i just learn a bit of everything over a period of time.

Howdo everyone Finally got myself a new bike after a 14 year break (last rode when I was 10) Picked up a GG TXT 300 (I know it's the perfect beginner bike...) One of my mates has just got tx250as well, so we're looking for places to fall off. My name is Dave and I live in Portland, Oregon. I have a couple Bultacos, one that I ride regularly in AHRMA and other Vintage Trials here in the Pacific Northwest. We also have a very active modern trails club here (COTA), and while they welcome vintage bikes, I'm not good enough to take the old iron on their Novice line. Maybe one day when I get better... Ok, off to the Twinshock area.

Howdy, I'm from Massachusetts in the USA and I'm new to trials. I'm planning on getting involved in some competition at some point and i'd like to get good at this stuff and riding in general. Hi everyone, I'm new to trialing and just found this forum, looks like it should be useful. I had a CR 125 for a while but had been dabbling with a mates Sherco and decided I wanted one. Turns out a friend of a friend had a Beta and wanted an MX bike, long story short, I now have a Beta 250 which is 2 years newer than the Honda for a straight swap. I'm one happy bunny.

Greetings all, I am in Logan, Utah. I raced motocross a lot when younger (ok, it was 25 years ago - I am 43 now) and have mostly been doing street bike riding since then. I always wanted to do some trials riding and just bought a Montesa 315R about a week ago. Of course, I have no clue what I am doing but have only looped it once and gained a lot (a ton) of respect for the bike - what a beast! Any practice advice would be greatly appreciated - I have been doing low speed figure 8s and set up some small obstacles in my back yard. Hi All, I'm new to trials. I'm coming from trail riding and dual sport. I have had (over the past 30+ years) an old honda 360 scrambler, a suzuki GS550L, a honda XL650R, a honda Hurricane 600, a Hurricane 1000, a VFR700 and currently I have an '89 honda transalp that has been everywhere from highway to logging trails. It is a most excellent all-around bike. Also have a TTR-250 for playing in smaller trails, an NX250 (little brother to TA), a honda fourtrax quad and my "new" 2001 Beta Rev3. Hi everyone Looking for some advice looking to get into trials riding as a complete novice at it. Have been road riding for a few years though. Have decided that I'd like to get a 250 having had a brief go on one. I have a budget of around £1500 for the bike itself. Is there any bikes in particular to look out for/any to avoid? Anything to look out for when buying one? Would be willing to go up in price if needed but hoping not to. Is there a big difference between the older bikes and newer? Also any other tips that may come in handy to a newbie with gear to get or anything else would be great Thanks

Hi everyone, I watched a dads and lads trial in Northyorkshire last year and thought it looked great fun and thought it would be just the ticket for my two young lads. We've managed to get a couple of shercos to get us going and they seem to be really enjoying it. My aim in 2009 is to learn about the "trials scene" up here in gods country and join the Richmond club so my boys can be intriduced gently into having more fun in the great out doors. Hello all, I'm new to Trials Central and just wanted to say hello from Rochester, NY. I rode trials in the mid-to-late 70s as a kid, and am now thinking of getting back into the sport. I have a 13-year old son who is showing great interest in trials, and we recently went to a vintage meet near here to watch. For most of the last 20+ years, I have had a Bultaco Sherpa T 250 and a Honda TL-125 in storage in my garage. I am now working to get them back in working condition. They only need some minor work (gummed carbs, cables freed up, etc.). It's great to see the interest in vintage bikes after all these years! I hope that I can get a tip or two from the knowledgeable folk…
