Hi Guys, New to this the world of trials, used to ride as a youngster although children and marital commitments put an end to that, just decided to get back out and about, picked up a 1998 tx270 to see how things progress before getting something a little newer. Based in essex so if anyone knows any clubs, sites or places for spares etc would be greatly appreciate as the first time around I had friends in the know, this tome im out on my own so to speak.

Greetings from beautiful British Columbia. I've just discovered this site and am already finding it to be a wealth of information. I've been on two wheels for many years, but have only discovered the delights of off road riding over the last five years or so; mainly dual sporting on older bikes. My current favourite dualsport steed is a '79 Yamaha XT500. I bought an '83 Fantic 240 from our local 'feet up' guru Dave Rhodes last summer, and am only now getting around to doing some serious (for me) riding. Needless to say my ambitions do not match my current capability! But I reckon that even being in my mid-50s does not preclude learning something new. My learning curve t…

Hi all, I'm in the Milton Keynes area and am looking to get back into trials riding after a break for over 20 years! I used to be a member of the Milton Buzzard club when they had their practice ground at Elfield Park and I owned a couple of Sherpas. I sold my last Sherpa when I started racing my Rudge in the VMCC but now I'm 50, I thought it would be a great way to keep fit!?! I popped along to the new Milton Buzzard ground last Sunday and it looks great, all I need to do know is pay my subs and find a bike. This is where I'd be really grateful of some advice. I've been looking at Sherco 290s (I guess it's a Bultaco thing) but am wondering if I should be starting with…

Morning all, I can no longer ignore the stirrings deep within that insist that I once again spend my weekends up to my armpits in mud. I find I'm eating the skins of my jacket potatoes and scrubbing them less, I'm volunteering to help the current Mrs Jayzee with the gardening as long as I can fondle the mud, and seem to 'accidentally' trip and fall face first in the mud more often than is reasonable when I'm walking the dogs... ...it can only be the call of the observed section. The mud, it seems, is beckoning me back in! So, who am I? I'm a 40+ bloke from the Cambridge, UK area that has never really grown up. I have been a motorcyclist since my early teens and own an …

Hello. I am the new proud owner of a 2001 Beta Rev3 250cc. I am new to the trials scenery and fairly new to enduro all together, so I thought I should drop by and say HI. And since I'm here, can anyone point me to the right Dellorto model for my Beta? Its current carb is no good at all. It leaks and floods like crazy. I will try to apply Billy T's mods first, but I am seriously thinking of buying the better carb for her. Thank you.

Hi, Just starting out in trials with my first bike a 2002 TXT pro 250. only been out on it for 10 mins and replaced fork seals, gear selector return spring, clutch cover gasket and rear sprocket. I am convinced that my oil is looking coffee coloured but on closer inspection there doesnt seem to be any seperation ie water in the oil. The other thing is I have no idea what oil was put in it previously to benchmark the colour. This is where you all thought I would ask which oil to put in her he he - I will be putting Putoline ATF back in and flush it a couple of times but I havent yet bought it but would it soon be apparent if I had a water leak? Living in the Settle Nor…

Did quite a bit in the late seventies and early eighties. Couple of years ago intended to get back into it. Now on my third bike - a lovely 76 TY 250 but not done one trial - how lame is that ?. Don't know anyone who is keen and can't see the Mrs up to her neck in mud !. Anyone around North Worcestershire in a similar boat ?. Or does anybody know of any clubs / groups.

Hi Folks, I am lucky enough to have 9 acre wood and river area to mess about in but to be social I don't want to upset the neighbours so am looking for a "quiet" choice of bike. 2stroke or 4? 125 or 250? Any suggestions? I am new to this cracking sport though I have done a bit of off roading centuries ago! and have been on and off road bikes for 30 years or so.Thanks.

Hi Guys, I have been riding Enduro for the past 20 years. I've always wanted to do some cross training with trials, but never got around to getting a trials bike to play with. my current Enduro ride is a Beta 300rr, and I'm picking up a Beta Rev3 (2002) this weekend as my entry into the trials world. I live in an area on NJ where the terrain really lends itself to trials, in fact most of our single track trails are better suited for a trials bike than a full on Enduro bike and that's the way we like it! I've been watching the video Barry Morris has been putting out and it really lit the fire for me to get started (crosstrainingenduro.com).....so of course I…
