Hi Everyone. I am seriously thinking about getting back into Trials Riding. It has been more than 30 years since I rode a Bike at all. In the mid 70's I had a Montesa cota mk1, and then an OSSA for a very brief time ending up with a Honda. Are there any clubs catering for older guys coming back? I would I guess have to start again and enter just Novice trials. How about Bikes, I don't recognise any of the names I see Montesa are still around as a 4 stroke, would it be unfair to ask which bike I should look at?, How much should I spend> I could afford a new bike but I would be happy to spend a lot less, where's the best place to buy? Sorry for so many questions a…

Well its time to move on from trails and moto cross and into something new I think, and Trials it is. I have my kx450f posted for sale so that I can pick up a trials bike and start learning. It seems I just dont have time anymore to commit an eitire day to riding on a regular basis, and think that trials is the way to go. I will be able to ride in the woods behind and around my house without trailering, and have a feeling that after an hour of riding I will be beat anyways. So I joined here to learn a bit about the bikes and start shopping. I think I will be looking for a mid 2000 250cc 2 stroke. I weight 160 geared plus gear and that way I can still do short trai…

evening all, i'm new here so please be gentle i've been trolling on here for a while now and just thought it would be polite to introduce myself, i'd never owned or ridden a trials bike until i stumbled across a 97 beta techno in october 11, i went out with a friend who's very proficient on his gas gas to show me the ropes and i was hooked.. i have ridden road bikes for 20 years an done a bit a trailing mt500 etc but never on a 2stroke so i wasn't really knowledgeable about them, i also didn't want other peoples nut and bolt problems so i bought a 2012 repsol 4rt to get started on and i love it ,a good quality machine ..now i know that some on here will say all the g…

Hi I have been lurking here for a bit, I have owned a trails bike since my high school years , a 1975 TL 125 , I am also working on a TLR 200 and I will make a thread shortly on those two bikes. I am a certified Honda tech but stopped working on bikes professionally about 15 years ago, I work on jet skis and fourwheelers and of course small motorbikes that catch my interest from time to time. I do want to thank you guys for a wonderful site, I have found much of the info I have been seeking here , some of it is invaluable, kudos to those who have made this site what it is! Hi all, I am not completely new to trials (had two in the past) but new to the forum and new to classic trials. Just bought a Bultaco Sherpa T350 from 1978. I own a lot of motorcycles and it’s save to say that I am proper motorcycle and mechanical stuff nut. Born already 49 years ago do I still feel best when wrenching or riding. I had done and still do almost everything which can be done on two wheels, from crossing the Sahara, to proper hard enduro, race track, bit of trials, travelling or just bashing around. Wherever possible I prefer older stuff over the new, on bikes but even more on cars and all the other small wonders of life. Raoul
