Hello; Been off my bike for a coupla years - ow! my knees - my back ! Was up at the Scottish and bought a new pair of Hebo's last year. Had to break them in.... Anyway, the auld Pinkie still runs but I've had a senior moment. I can't remember what the bloody mix is ! I thought 25:1 My mate reckons it's something daft like 30'ish :1 elsewhere on the 'net I've seen 50:1 mentioned. But the chainsaw runs 50:1 and I reckoned the Yam engine would need a damn sight more lubing than a chainsaw ! I don't remember ever using my chainsaw mix......So here I am. Hello, My name is Ryan and I am returning to riding after a 4 year long break (had daughter). I have been riding for 33 years and competed in enduros in Colorado for many years. I recently bought a 2003 beta Rev3 250 to get back on a bike. I am a novice trials rider even though I WAS an A level enduro rider. I live near the Grand River Dam in Northeast Oklahoma and have a great practice area in the washed out dam run off. If anyone is nearby please contact me so we can go ride. Hello Just joined and just bought a gas gas 125. I am 54 and a complete beginner to trials biking. Does anyone know of a club locally to me? While i have been looking at some you tube vids on technique does anyone know anyone in the area that might do some formal or one-off skills tutoring. Any help appreciated. Cheers everyone.

Hi I am new to the tc website, I am looking for information and photos of Mr Miller in the 1981 82 period on the 320 cc aprilia hiro he was developing reg AEL 362Y I am in the process of restoring the bike. I do know that pics of Sammy on the bike did appear in the TMX at the time riding in time trials in north somerset and Wells clubs.

Hello to all, although I had a Sherpa T for a while back in the day, I've recently borrowed a well-worn Dougie Lampkin replica Beta -- I think it's a '99 or 2000 -- for some fun, and if my interest continues, I'll probably get my own bike. In the meantime, I have a question pending in the Beta section re how to install a kill button on this replica. Looks like a great forum here, and thanks for letting me take part.

Well, its been a blast this time but all good things come to an end, just sold up and moving onto other things, that's the 3rd time! Thanks to all the friends I made along the way, I'm sure I will look in at one or two trials through the year, might even observe, mind you there just will be some dodgy 5's ! Cheers Paul

Hi Ive been lurking on the forums for a while now, as I've always been interested in trials from a very young age, just never ever done it, at the end of last year I had a go on my mates' Beta Rev 3 and a Gas Gas 250 at Warden Law It wasnt bad for my first attempt but ive riden alsorts of road bikes bike and small and done a lot of mountain biking, and after that Im now the proud owner of a 2006 Gas Gas TXT 250 Pro, I seen it advertised on this site locally so went and bought it last weekend, with me being new to trials im just going to practice at Warden Law to get used to the bike and see what it does etc.. then im going to go along to some trials to spectate to see wh…

Just introducing myself. I am a road rider, turned green laner now working down the cc's and up the mud content. I am completely new to trials - I have tried a couple of apparently gentle events on my XR400 but it wasn't a good (at least in my hands) so I'm on the look out for a TY250 (i'm told that at 16st+ I need the extra ccs). Thought I would be civil and say high to all..... Coming back into trials after about 20 years out of the saddle. Rode twin shocks in the 80's at schoolboy level for many years and now that my son wants to start (he's 17) it seemed an ideal excuse to get myself a bike! Looking forward to the chat etc....

Saying hello from Oz. I have been a lurker to this site for some time, and decided I should join up as this is the biggest and best board know to trials. I havent been into trials for as long as many of you, but always had a bike since I was a kid in the late 70's. Trials suited me a fews years ago, as I had a casual go at it before in the early 80's. I was into enduro then, then dropped out of racing for a number of years due to injuries. I seen trials as a good competitive sport for fun and low injury and cost etc etc, with the usual family commitments etc. Had a couple of modern trials bikes, but due to work and family constraints I could only make a ride occasio…

i have recently purchased a mint honda tlr250rg. with all the import documentation, the bike has been rebuilt but i need some parts. i emailed david silver but they could not help, i need a complete chain tensioner, a fuel tap lever, and side panels could anyone help please. merry christmas to you all. I'm new to this so I hope it works! I need a new bike for LDT's ( ie approx 70 mile trials / mixture of road and lanes + 30 odd sections ). These are great events but being in the late 50's I'm looking for a bike thats light and easy to ride. I've narrowed the choice down to a Scorpa sy250 long ride or a Montesa 4rt with one of the aftermarket long range seat tank units. The problem is deciding which. Does anybody have any advice on which is the better bike for this sort of event? Thanks for any help. Pete

Hi All I have just bought a Scorpa 250 SY I was told it was an 06. Does anyone know how to interpret the frame number? Or know of any other distinguishing features? It has a grey frame, silver wheels, snail type chain tensioner, linkless swingarm, paiolla forks with preload and extension adjustment on the top. Any help would be much appreciated.
