Hello all from Calgary, Alberta Canada. Lots of old TY's through my childhood home and some amateur competition in the early 80's. After many years hiatus bought one for my son to play on a few years ago and it ended up parked in the garage for a few years. Picked up a parts bike and now have a decent running TY again. Love the old TY's!

Hello, I am new to both the forum and trials (having been to see a few recently). I have purchased a 2004 Beta 200 as a starter bike and have one little (silly?) problem. The front disc cover was not over the disc so I unbolted it where it attaches at the top and have realigned it. However it looks to me as if it should attach to the bottom of the fork leg as there is a hole on the cover for something to go through. The question is how does it attach to the bottom of the fork leg? Thanks. Bryce

Hello all, I'm from the Netherlands. In the 80's I owned a Fantic 240, which I used for trailriding and a little trial (no competion). I sold it after a couple of years and changed to offroad (Yamaha XT 250, later XTZ660). I bought a Guzzi Stornello 244cc SWM framedspecial in Italy, this is my favorite bike for trials. I've allways been a Guzzi man. It pulls very strong from idle and feels like a twostroke in reaction. Lots of bottompower. 2 weeks ago a bought a very nice original TY250 1975, which needs sprockets, chain and rearshocks. Today I got offered a Kawasaki KT250, partly restored, at a smallprice. Frame, seat and exhaust/muffler are restored. The rest nee…

Evening all, Hope you're all good, thought I would finally sign up for the forum. Im Mike, married with a 5 year old boy (Oli) who got an Oset 16.0 Racing for Christmas this year and he is doing his first trial tomorrow in Cheshire! I'm also looking at getting something to have a bit of fun on. Anyway I'm sure I will have plenty of questions along the way, I have one about vans already so will put a post in the right place. Anyone going tomorrow come and say hi Mike

Hi all, yes another newly to what appears to be an excellent website and forum to boot. I am taking on a Sherpa T80 as a restore project, it was started before but ended badly by someone not known to me. the frame had been blasted and powder coated, but as I see it, still with the swinging arm in tact! The engine also looks like it’s been got at and so it goes on. So decided it’s a strip to the floor job for peace of mind, who knows what I’m gonna encounter. The thus end, I Wouk do like to think I can count on some sound advice if and when required. FYI I am not a rider anymore, at 74 I enjoy the challenge of taking the bikes apart and restoring them to factory stock. T…

Hi everyone. Just thought I'd say 'Greetings' on my first post on the forum. I am building a B175 engined D7 framed Bantam trials iron as a quiet project during a lengthy period of ill health. Hope to chat to the great and the good about all things Bogwheel. I have owned an Italjet and Montesa Cota 247 in the past, and grassed a Bantam as a schoolboy many years ago, scrambled a CZ GP250 and a Maico later on when my stabilizers (training wheels) were removed . At present am rebuilding an ex-works 1949 350 Bullet trials, though its a bit of a lump for me just now. Looking forward to any pointers anyone would care to share regarding the Bantam project, re-gearing, exhaust …

Hi everyone just a line to introduce myself I am B route rider & fifty years young. I have been riding twinshock trials for a few years in the south west area. My weapons of choice are TY Yams, easy to look after & more than good enough for my very limited ability. Twinshock events are always good fun & you get to see all sorts of lovely bikes being used, what could be better. Also it's great to see & hear the pre 65 bikes, the people who ride the big stuff are heroes. All The Best

Hello, just heard that I can get back an old Bultaco that I used to own 35 years ago! It's in a bit of a state and is in bits but I am very happy to see the old girl again, but I'm going to need some advice and so here I am. Live in Scotland in a rural quite place with lots of places to play. Will have loads of questions I'm sure.
