Hi guys and gals who competed in the trial at Church Stretton today, hope you all got back to your vans with your bikes. for those reading this the police were in the area of the trial today checking the legality of riders machines and confiscating those not legal, ready for the crusher I guess. Something for all riders to think about with the police having the power to take away your machine!!! May be its time to move away from road trials to private land events for british sidecar champs rounds then we would not have to put our bikes in the vans to go each group.

Hello & Cheers ! Just a quick hello. I'm new to this site. I've been riding dirt bikes for decades and trials for about 6 years. Trials is definitely my favorite with the note that I don't ride like "real" trials riders. I basically ride the nasty stuff but always keeping moving. I live in Las Vegas, NV, USA and the riding here is nothing like you might think. It's extremely varied and nearly endless miles upon miles of riding areas. I had an '01 GasGas TXT280 and it was a good bike. I now have a '05 Sherco 2.9 which I like more than the GasGas. tuts

Hi all. I have been browsing on here for years, and i used to have a login, but it seems it's disappeared because I rarely logged in. Briefly, I have been riding for years (started with a bantam trials in the70s). Trials wise, I have pre 65, twin shock, and air cooled mono bikes. I also have a bunch of road and off road bikes of various ages and makes, not that it's relevant on here. Having bought a couple more bikes at Telford last weekend I have a bunch of questions and needed to login again Cheers, John.

Hello all, I am becoming re-interested in trials after a long hiatus. My grandson is turning three and is interested in motorcycles and my daughter has fond memories, so is open to the idea of an Oset 12.5. I figured I might pick up a used whatever to plonk on and help him learn (in the day, I was never great, but did ride advanced respectably). Anyways, thanks for still being here as a resource! Ward

Hi I'm an ex Midland Centre rider from the 60's and 70's disappearing to Australia in 1980. Still riding in trials although I've slowed down a bit after a hip replacement a few weeks ago. I heard a name mentioned the other day on this website (I think) and would love to hear from him and a few others who were around in those days. As the Galpin brothers, Mike and Roger we used to ride BSA's with the Slinn brothers and the Winwood brothers and it was Pat Slinn who was mentined. My dad, Eric, used to know Reg Slinn and whatever happened to Alan Wright, Scott Ellis, Mick Bowers, Dick Hearn, Pat Brittain and a host of other top Midland centre riders. Chris Leighfield is o…

Hi all, from Barrie Ontario Canada. I found a lovely gem near here, and bought it last weekend. Just fired it up for the very first time and have been riding it around in the snow! It's stored at "Cool Rides" here in Barrie, where there's lotsa space to work on bikes this time of year. The serial # is 36301858 and I'm told it's a 1993 model. The only paperwork I got with it refers to a 240 Professional, but wasn't that from the 80's? Think I'll go for another ride! Tuque, mitts, scarf -Chris

Hello All Just a short introduction. I'm John Armstrong, currently working in Pakistan but from the UK originally. I live on a compound close to the power plant I work at, surrounded with about 1600 acres of land to ride on. I dropped on by chance in Karachi a TLR 200 which is in reasonable condition and seems to have been imported from Japan to be broken for spares. We have a bit of coastline here, some cliffs and a few small hills and rocks so its entertaining. This is my first four stroke bike,I had a Fantic 175 in the UK, I didn't compete, just rode the bike in the local quarries with that was a few years ago now. I am in quite a remote location and the security…

Hello all, A trials returnee here. Rode Fantic twin and monoshocks for a few years in the early 90s growing up in the Lake District, England. Now living south of Buffalo, NY...found myself a very battered 1990 Fantic 307 in Oct last year and just picked up a 2000 Beta Rev 3 270 for the summer trials. Turns out I'm as hopeless as I was as a kid but have an affliction for tumbling, landing on jagged surfaces and motorbikes landing on me... Cheers....

Hi, just bought an Aprilia Climber as my wife and I fancy having a go at trials. Totally different to what we have been used too as we both road race but I did race motocross in my youth. We haven't ventured any further than our garden as yet ( we have an acre to play around in). Looking forward to the new challenge. Andy and Janet

Hi, I am new to the sport this website and motorcycles in general. I participated in my first trials event this last October and decided to jump in with both feet. I am currently restoring and modifying a TY175 for the coming year and have a second restoration waiting in the wings. I have learned a lot already from this site and it has helped shape my project. I am new to trials bikes but have been building, wrenching and racing cars for several years. Below are some pics of my TY frame in process. Enjoy!

A new member to T C. I had a Yamaha Pinky some 20 years ago, but sadly it was taken from me by some low life scum, and that pretty much put and end to my Trials beginning..............before it got started!!! I was talked into spending a day at Inch Perfect last Friday (17th March) and the weather was truly horrendous, but despite this and having not sat on a bike for 20 years, i actally had a pretty good day..... Yes, granted, the rain and hail were horizontal, the gale force wind was biting cold and there was some localised flooding on the way home, but it has sparked my interest again.. I was entrusted with (what appeared to be) a very recent Montesa Hond…
