Hi all, I've only been riding bikes about 2 months, started by sharing my friends Montesa Cota 315R(97) and have recently bought myself a Gas Gas JTX 270(97), so far have managed to get out for 1 days worth of riding which was really good and to be honest I do prefer my my bike as I'm 6'2" and the handle bars seem to be a little further away and unlike the Montesa I don't feel like I'm going to go over the handle bars everytime I brake hard. The biggest problem I'm having is trying to get good info on the type of oil I should use in the gearbox/transmission, someone where I went trials biking had the 250cc version of my bike and they said to use 10w 40 but on Gas Gas web…

Hi all Just checking into to say hello! I've just started in the sport - absolute off-road novice having never ridden anything other than road bikes for the last 25 years! I've got a TY175 which I'm steadily fettling (some questions will soon appear from me in the relevant forums I'm sure!). I've been very warmly welcomed into the local events here in Norfolk and managed to complete my first trial last weekend (after an abortive attempt a few weeks prior to that as the bike unfortunately wasn't quite ready for it!). Look forward to getting stuck in. Alan

Hello. A friend of mine got me interested in vintage trials and I just picked up a pretty cool TY250 today. I have learned a lot by reading your forum for a day. Can't wait to get this thing fixed up and give it a try. Cheers, Eric

I just came back to trials this year and it has revolutionized my 2-wheeled life. I goofed around on a TY175 in 1976, but my real passion at the time was MX. Then I had a TY250A in the mid-1980's, but I was on a tiny isolated shelf of land in coastal B.C. with little opportunity to improve my riding. After a brief break from riding of any kind, I got back to road riding in 1988 and I've been doing that ever since. Although my wife and I have traveled by bike in several European countries and South America, our road riding is a bit stunted where we live. We are on a peninsula with a ferry at each end, so we really just have one road to ride. So a friend is into trials ridi…

Hi All, I'm returning to trials after nearly 30 years off. I've been riding an Electric Motion Race 2020 model for almost a year now and loving getting back into things, though it's amazing how much has changed. I'm based in North Yorkshire and have joined both Guisborough and Croft trials clubs, really impressed with both. If you see me out and about, stop by and say hello Ade.

Hey All, Greetings to you of the forum from the great and piney state of Maine! I have had a couple of trials bikes over the years (Reflex, 4rt), but have yet to develop into a *real* trials rider. Seem to have caught the bug again as of late. We'll see where it takes me this time. In the meantime, I am pleased to be associated with all of you.
