Introduce Yourself

Hi, I am Dave from Wallsend Newcastle area, I've just got myself a 2004 sherco 250 to learn/practice on, Any tips would be great. I've just about always had motorbikes since I was very young (not so young now lol) mainly road bikes and crossers so I thought I would try a bit of trials riding. So any tips on riding or even to keep my bike running ok would be cool. Also is their any place I can practice my riding in the Newcastle area. Thanks Dave.

Greetings from Maui. Just bought my first trials bike a couple of months ago, I have an 09 gasgas txt 300 Pro. I hardly ride it because I get worn out trying to start it, and just give up. I am spoiled with my electric start KTM.

New, from the South Okanagan. In British Columbia.

Thought I'd better introduce myself. Just got home with an Aprilia Climber in the boot of my Dodge and am planning a trip to Berkhamstead at some point to see what's going on. Ribenas are on me Oh, anyone know who sells Aprilia spares? Ta.

my mate just bought a vee rubber tyer.. i think i might get one when im due for one. has anybody got one and are they any good ? let me know Paul

Hi all, I've finally decided to get back into a bit of off roading after too many years away, lol So I found a gas gas txt 321 and soon I'll be covered in mud again. I'll be lurking around for the forseeable, as I have quite a bit of info to pic up on the new scoot. Cheers Baz

I grew up in Colorado, raced motocross and rode in the prairie as a kid. I had a tl125 Honda and rode it in the mountains a little but since moving to Oklahoma I have not done much riding for a long time. My son is 14years old and I bought a 2003 GAS GAS EC 200 DE and I'm setting it up for him to learn on while I look for another enduro and a trials bike. Bikes are so much better now than in the 80s when I stopped riding I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting to get a bike. I intend to practice trials nearby to sharpen my skills and trial ride the other bike with my son.

Just purchased a 2004 GasGas 300 to hopefully learn how to ride it enough to compete. I've been racing motorcycles and quads for the past 25 years and just couldn't do it anymore. Too long of a recovery period (went from days to weeks) but still have the desire to compete and be part or a riding group/club. Looking forward to getting to chat with some of you and learning the sport of trials. Mel

Hello. I am a new trails rider in South China. I picked up a 2015 Beta Evo 300 factory mid way through last year and slowly trying to pick up some trials skills. It would be great to be able to ride with other trials riders but it seems that I am on my own here. There are quite a few riders in Hong Kong, less than 100 kms away but imposible to take my bike there to ride with them. Anyway I have been trying to lean balance, slow riding skills, small wheelies, stopies, etc. I never thought that trails riding was so complex and so physical. Symon

Hi, I'm just starting the journey in to Trials after many years Road and Enduro riding and have just bought a 2002 Beta 250 (see attached) to practice wobbling and balancing on my driveway before going out and getting muddy. I was looking for a 200 Beta but theyre not cheap and as rare as Rocking Horse S**t then I was offered this for £1k and it seems to tick all of the boxes for now. I see the bike as a stepping stone to something a bit newer once I can progress beyond the garden. As I have no paperwork with the bike, does anyone have a manual for sale or can you point me in the right direction to download one? - I've looked on the Beta web-site and they dont go thi…

Hi all, started riding on an old FSIe back in 1981 in Bicester area. Ridden lots of road bikes currently ZRX1200r, started riding dirt in 1992, own a CRF450x, now just got a '98 Gas Gas 270. WOW, totally different riding style. And riding in the Arizona desert is fab. No mud just lots o'rocks and sand.

Hi I have just registered and thought I would introduce myself. Myself and my family live in the mountains of Andalucia, Southern Spain, and have done for over 10 years. I run a guided trail tour company (trail and enduro riding), and have recently been drawn towards trials riding (it was got me into motorbikes 30 years ago). I don't have a bike at present, but when funds permit, will take the plunge. I have a 9 year old son, who has had a 50cc trail bike, and is super keen in getting into trials riding, as there is a thriving competition scene here for both adults and children. Hi I'm returning to the world of trials..!! After mortgages - kids etc I find I've time to get back into trials after a 25+ year break. So at 47 years of age now (were has the time gone?) I'm turning to you guys for help and advise on buying a second hand bike. Budget is upto £1200 so what's my options? Are there rules and regs on two strokes or has the world gone four stroke? Told you it's been a while. Look forward to some great guidance.

Hi Im Gary from Canada and have a 75 ty250 and a recently acquired a ty 175. Doing a search on here I found the fix for a stubborn fork on the 175 where a socket was slotted to grab the internal damper assembly Gary
