in this modern day of keeping the world of trials up to date with current affairs , can i ask why we are all ben kept in the dark about honda montesa i find this very poor factoy customer relations both honda and montesa word on the grape vine is that honda will not supply the montesa with engines in fact we are being told that the factory is closed no more montesa are avaliable for sale in this country tmx news must no some thing we are all been shown the new bling 2010 models by gasgas sherco beta etc not a bean about montesa and as to our main inporter of bikes and parts were do we go ? i my self have have spent 1000s pounds on bikes parts…

I am coming back into trials with a 30yr break..the problem is about 9yrs ago I broke my right leg,,so I need either an electric start bike or one that is easy to kick over... advice given so far is either get a 125 or a 200...The bike will just be for mucking about for now and third question is I have

Hi all, Harv's here! Was well into Trials as a youngster, but sold my bike in my early teens (was a TY 175 minter). 30 now and picked up a 2001 Montesa Cota with the view to get back into things. Not been out to many time yet as I only got the bike couple months ago, but absolutely loving it again. Anyways, hoping to get involved more in the forum, so will hopefully see you around! H

Hi I'm new at trials and I've gathered some money to buy a trials motorcycle. But I can't find a shop in my country that actually owns them or can be ordered. So, I'm here to ask you if you could be so kind and gather some info about that. I want a 50cc bike with automatic gears, just for the start. I'm from Croatia, and my country is poor when it comes to that kind of culture, so I want 'to start' a new culture in my city, or even a country. Hi all, I've been riding bikes of all kinds for over twenty years. Mostly of the off road variety, including two trials irons. A fantic 125 twin shock which jumped out of gear going up hills and was an all round dog, and more recently (about seven years ago) a ty pinkie. The pinkie is probably my favourite bike of all I've owned. It was ridden regularly on private land until four years ago when divorce, marriage and child no.3 happened. Hello, Just about to get my 2nd trials bike at almost 52, my first was a Bultaco Sherpa 325 about 25 years ago so the 99' Beta Techno 250 will be like starting from zero! Evening. I'm Kevin and new to the forum. Quite long in the tooth now but enjoy getting out on my KTM on the local lanes around Llangollen. Having always fancied a trails bike, especially in my youth when funds were too tight, its now or never. Heart is saying a TY175 or Fantic ( could never afford one when they were new), head says something modern for the reliability?. There is a pay per day wooded area near me so that would be a good place to start and hopefully try some easy events - twin shock event for newbies could scratch an itch and improve my laning skills to boot? Hello Trials riders, My name is Jim and I started riding vintage trials two years ago. I have a Yamaha TY 175 that I have been competing on and really like the bike. I gave up motorcycles 45 years ago and recently got back into riding. Yes, I am 64 and that makes me an old man but I am really enjoying the trials sport and the camaradie associated with the vintage events. I live in Western Colorado, USA. My hobby is buying vintage trials bikes and fixing them up. It's a great sport.

Hi, A familiar story here.............. I did schoolboy trials as young un and have been away for erm ,mmm, 46-13=errrr 33 years ('kin eck??). Been doing road bikes since i was old enough to but a mate has just got the bug again himself and passed it onto me. Just picked up a Cota 315r to get started on. Not sure which club to join yet so any recomemndations would be gladly received thanks. I don't feel old but wondered at what point do you become a veteran?????????? All the best. Reecy

Hi all. As the title i am new to trials and looking to buy my first bike. Up until now iv only ever had 125 road & mx bikes. I had a play on a friends montesa 315 last weekend and loved it! I've always been interested in trials but never give it a go but now the KTM is up fo sale So what bike??? i only have a budget of about £1800 so looking for something reasonably cheap. I love the look of the shercos and can pick up 250's for good money and also there are 1 or 2 decent looking 250 gassers about around 2006 in budget. Any info would be good. New to TC. Just joined the site and finding my way round it, After going down the motorsport route of rallying for the past 20 years (ESCORT MK2) decided to take up trials And luv it to bits...not road a motorbike EVER...bought a sherco 250 and nearly killed myself at rogerly quarry last year. sold that and bought a GasGas pro . stripped the bike and built it back up from scratch...NEW everything and riding it nice now. Still on the easy course at the moment and getting better after each trial, and learning the sport. Hope to c yuzz out and about Deano

Hi from sunderland, I purchased a gas gas 250 2009 last week! great fun! I've been out on it twice now Although I've had road bikes before I've never done any maintenance on them and I'm looking to take out my carb and blow it out but i don't know where to start? i'm guessing the fuel tank will have to come out? What comes out to get access to carb and in what order? What gets blown out? the jets and thats it? is there just two jets? Ive watched a 30 min video on just the carb alone (that didn't tell me what to blow out or how to get to the carb) on youtube but I'm kind of looking for an idiots guide firstly telling what to take off and which bit to blow out? Hello everybody, I am beginner trials motorcycle rider from hong kong .

Well I finally gave in to the desire and added a trials bike the the clutter that fills the garage. As if that wasnt enough it meant buying the lad one too (easier to justify spending endless hours out with the guys if you take the lad with you ). Anyway i've bought an old Sherco 290 and a Gas Gas 125 for the lad. What i know about bikes you could write on the back of a stamp and still have room for a pic of Lizzy. Are there any helpful words of wisdom, videos or info that would help me get started with basic maintenance (cleaning, servicing, etc) Thanks and looking forward to umpteen hours of fun both on and off the bikes.
