Hello all. Totally new to trials, have just bought a 94 or 94 Beta Techno to polish up on my skills for enduro, but I'm really liking the trials riding! Only been out twice so far and I'm hooked. Although enduro and MX are fairly well established over here, trials are not, so I'll really be relying on forums and videos for advice. Look forward to using this forum and being part of this amazing sport!

Hi All. Been keeping an eye on these forums for a while and finally registered. Been into trials on and off for the last 25 years, but last year got back into it in the form of the Long Distance Trials of which there seems to be a few in this part of the world (Worcestershire, UK). Current mount is a Beta Alp, although a 4RT is very tempting to keep alongside it. I'd be interested to hear from any other LDT riders. Would there be any interest in a forum specifically for LDTs, and one for trials-derived trail bikes like the Alp and Pampera? Administrators: is this a possibility if enough interest shown? Cheers, Ian.

Hi A friend wanted to register with TC but firstly had trouble finding where registration was explained and then found that the submitted e-mail address would not be accepted. Could someone please explain how to register, it`s not very clear. Thanks

Hi all, I`m new to this site but not new to twinshocks as I used to have a `79 TY250. I`ve recently bought a 1972/3 but registered in `76 Ossa MAR 250 which hasn`t been touched. A bit abused but all original, needing a bit of tlc. I`ve stripped it down to the basics ready to have the frame powder coated and put new bearings in the wheels, headstock etc. There are a few things that I need to get straight before I start. 1) Where is the best place for spare parts, new and used. (I`ve seen Inmotion) 2) What colour is the frame supposed to be. All the ones that I`ve seen on the net have silver frames but mine is black. 3) How do I get the races out of the headstock. 4) A…

Just Rode the Glaisdale 40mile trial for 1st time. Guisbrough club did a cracking job - a good old fashioned trial but with routes to suite all, like me. Hope they don't turn it into a national, as the rumour is this is a possibility, it's perfect as it is. Well done to all involved - doing the Wainwright this weekend - bet i dont get such a relaxed ride.

Newbie here, joining up to dive into the SWM forum as I've just bought back a 320TL I had 25 years ago! The bike's a runner but will need a lot of TLC to get it back to what it should be.

Good afternoon all, I have just managed to locate a trials bike and am getting back into the sport since leaving the UK some time ago. Originally from Reading but have been living in Dubai for about 15 years now. I love just about any form of bike and really cant wait to get some of the old trials skills back.

Hi Decided to give trials a go, so bought a bike and the internet brought me here when I started asking it questions about it. I am in Dorset. Bike is a 2002 Sherco 250. Had my first ride today, loved it, back to the simple fun that bikes were when I was a kid. Dom1

Hi, Funny how these things go around, I used to ride in local club trials about 10 years ago and due to my accumulation of son-in-laws have bought a bike and intend starting again. The bike is a 250 Evo 4t and hopefully I can enjoy it once again, but this time with a steady old 4 stroke , and a very keen son-in-law !! Regards to all Lincol

Greetings to all TY owners/enthusiasts. I've been reading the posts here for six months or so, but didn't dare join until I'd bought and taken apart a TY175E and gained some limited knowledge of the things. I've really appreciated the posts I've read to date, and send my thanks to everyone who's posted here. Even those that don't make sense... Until now I've just been an trials Observer for a local club in Warwickshire (Leamington Victory), to do a favour for a friend, and I enjoyed the spirit of the events, and the enthusiasm and cameraderie of the participants, so much that I went one stage further and got a TY175. Well, two, actually, as I've got the bug, and foun…
