Hi Steve, Not sure what you mean by the 'boss'. But a while back Sammy Miller Products had the knuckles for sale by themselves. I have not seen them on their web pages but. I have a spare welded up kick start lever where it spins around the knuckle pin. A mate of mine also welded me up my TY250 kick start lever. You can't even see where he welded it but that is his trade. Keep an eye on ebay for second hand spares, there is a fair bit on at the moment in the Sates.

Hi Steve, What is the problem? Broken Kick start lever? Or Kick start lever hitting the case? Is the motor kicking back and hence putting extra force on the lever? Is the kick start knuckle broken?

Howdy, Yes the Guru TY - David. Know him reasonable well, he only lives three hours away. I didn't join before, I just preferred to be a lurker. But the more I read the more I liked. So to post you have to join so I did. I was researching pre 65 bikes but came across the TY tread. The pre 65 issue is now on the back burner for me but you never know. We don't have much of a choice in Pre 65 bikes here, batams, a cub or the odd greeves, but very scrace. I just love the way you guys have the pre 65 thing going. I would like a real pre 65 when I make the plunge - not a special. But I need to wait a while to see what our rules end up defining as an elegible pre 65. As for importing bikes - there are some bikes that we did not get in Aus. The Beamish (never came to Aus) and the Ossa Gripper (very few if any). A Gripper was purchased so a relative would swap a very special Fantic for it when it arrived. The Beamish was imported because the fellow already had a Suzuki and wanted a more competitive one. Currently our $ gets you .62 of your pounds and almost even with the US $ until someone pulled the plug in Greece yesterday - God knows what the exchange rate will be next week. Starky

Hi Guys and Girls, Had not thought about joining this website until I happened across the TY specific threads - great idea. I have fours TYs all 1975. Born in Japan and half of their body parts now come from the UK and USA so they are truely international machines. We have quite a number of twinshocks in our Club here in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia - two have been imported from the Twinshock Shop. Wayne Stark
