I agree, easiest thing to try is a 120 main and see what happens.
It runs perfect right now and big revs for a splatter are ok, it is only after a bit on a big hill or road and yes, it seems like it just is running flat and starved for gas.
Plug reading is a light brown.
I will clean tank and carb and fuel pump also..
Thanks !!
It is a short distance before starving for fule. It does seem to be a fuel pump related issue. Not worried about going hard on a road, but what happens when I have a hill climb section at a trials ?
I will check all the fuel inlets on the carb. In the mean time, perhaps a 120 main will help a bit, but if there is no fuel in the float this will not make a difference.
Thanks for the insight
I live at 6000ft elevation and trying to jet the 2012 290 Sherco.
I have everything stock and put in a 118 main jet. (125 is stock)
Seems to be pretty good, the plug is a light brown and all is good except it really seems to be starving for gas at really high RPM's going down the road.
I might try a 120 main, but just wondering what everyone else is running at this altitude range.
Overall the bike is truly amazing !
Thanks
