  1. First rule of unicycle safety---let the thing fall, don't try to save it, just step off! Get a sturdy enough unit that will survive being dropped repeatedly. My Schwinn uni was dropped thousands of times and only needed a new seat cover.
  2. I'm running 10/52. Usually use 2nd gear for slow stuff. Not sure if 52 sprockets are available but 50 would be fine. Suggest tire pressures of 7f/5r to start. It's going to go faster than you want in slow going just at idle. Learning to control speed with clutch and brakes is part of the process.
  3. Well, I bought a TLR200 Reflex off eBay a few months ago. Started out looking for a nice little dirt bike, led to trials bikes....... Been fixing it up, shocks, carb, handlebars, pegs, fork seals and springs, fender, tires, does it ever end? Went to first trial ever last month and was properly humbled, thought I would just have to learn a little about slow speed skills....HAH! I've roadraced and motocrossed in my youth, learned unicycle forwards and back, I'm finding the challenges of trials great fun. I have 8 acres of woods to play in, so lots of chugging around and practice. I am 67 years old. Lusting after an OSSA Explorer now. Been prowling this web site for months learning about bike and skills, been ordering some bits from UK, pleasantly surprised by UK dealers, faster than some in USA.
