  1. Lucky kid! Bike has some nice upgrades and live on kickstarter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/raffebikes/electric-motocross-mini-dirt-bike-e-bike-motorcycl?ref=nav_search
  2. Agree, and that thing sure does looks shweet! The word should also get around as to who actually won it as this is such a tightly knitted community, mx/trials.
  3. released! http://www.raffebikes.com/Home-Mini-Electric-Motocross
  4. Richard, I have a late model 12.5'', and the OSET controller didn't run on 36v. Test yours with an extra battery.
  5. Very nice work. So is the entire swing arm all aluminum now?
  6. Didn't realize you were in the UK. Tell you what. If you would like, send me a p.m. if you are in need of one and ill send it to you for free, just pay the shipping. Paypal me the shipping and its yours. Get your girl riding safe.
  7. Hi Steve, Welcome to the forum. I also have a 36v, the newer version with the latest electronics and recently just for giggles I put 24v to the 36v controller, and it didn't fire up for me. Seems like they might have the LVC gwhy is talking about. Well the real reason I tried it was because my son races his Oset in motocross and I wanted to see if I could run it on 24v's incase one of his batteries went south at the races. I converted my sons 12.5'' to 36v's. Ended up swapping in all my electronics from the 16'' 36v, so that left my 16'' without any electronics. Now I have a complete 24v OSET system from the 12.5'' stored in a zip lock bag. I would love to trade you my 24v controller and throttle for your 36v controller and throttle. We probably would not spend more then $4 each in shipping. The 24v will go down to a crawl. Let me know if that interest you. I can ship mine out as fast as tomorrow . We can pm each other if interested and we can exchange contact info. If you need the 36v back later we can swap back no problem.
  8. Did you do a before and after weight difference? Also before and after the frame mod?
  9. So what would you do for a motor to reduce the weight while keeping the power?
  10. Yes I meant the diameter of the tire. You are correct OSET does measure the diameter of the tire, I think the bicycle industry does that in general. Congrats on the bikes and the kids riding. These E bikes def get them going early.
  11. Very nice. Are those 16'' wheels? The bike some get pretty long run time with the 14ah. What size motor and what is the controllers output?
  12. Excellent! What I love about these OSETS is that they are a GREAT platform to tweak to make make them fit ones needs. Are you gearing him towards MX? My son got his 12.5 at 3yrs 3months. Before that he was on a balance bike at about 2.5 then the first moto was a Razor MX350, then moved his onto the OSET. He is now 4yrs 3months at 39lbs. He out grew the 24v power so I fitted the 12.5 with the electronics from another 36v 16'' I bought to play with him. He rides it at full power, with the 500w motor. Its an impressive little machine. Last time I checked he was exactly 3.3ft, maybe about 3 weeks ago. He is now at the tipping point of being to big for his 12.5, but the 16'' still to big. We ride strictly MX, and is currently competing. I am making a hybrid between the 12.5 and 16''. GWHY has been extremely helpful in making this right. ANYWAYS sorry for this long story but wanted to share another little guys story that might help in your project. I'm all about having a bike for the little ones that fit THEIR scale. Makes it FUN for them and best of all it builds their confidence. When he was just 3.5 we were at a local track and rode a friends pw50, he got around the track, but you could immediately tell the difference in his confidence level. On the OSET he could literally go anywhere. He was maybe 33lbs then... on a 85lbs pw50! I would not like to ride a 550pnd MX bike . Kudos on the frame mod. Lighter is better!
