hi guys i have a bultaco 221 175 , the swinging arm spindel was ceased to the bushes and had to be cut out.The bushes were the rubber type, i have removed the rubber but there seems to be a thin metal bush which the rubber was atached to still inside the swining arm.Can anyone tell me if i have to remove these to fit new bushes and also what bushes to replace old ones
hi guys just looked at the air box on my 221 175 seems to be know mounting points all i can find in the box of bits is two home made hindge like things can someone help
hi guys thanks for that got this bike in bits, looked tonight and found no mountings for the air box only two home made hindges that look as if they fit inside the top of the air box
hi bondy just got your email many thanks for that now i know the mushroom and ball bearing is missing. I will contact buultaco uk to see if they have them, will try to get some pics together when i start putting the bike back together
Bought this bike in bits. Have noticed on the inside of the clutch pressure plate there is a needle roller bearing but can't find any part that fits the push rod which goes against the needle roller bearing. Can anybody help??
Hi PScrauber - I'm in South West Cornwall in the UK. No pics at present - everything in bits. Will post pics when I start rebuilding. Believe the 175 is quite rare in the UK akso.
I'm currently restoring a 1979 Bultaco 175 221, where is the best place to buy the mudguards closest to the original blue - any other hints and tips with restoration would be welcome - a lot of work to do!! Thanks
Just bought a 1979 Bultaco 175 sherpa. Found this site very useful so joined today. Restoring bike - would be good to hear from anyone who is restoring or has restored one.
