    Tlrider, RS200, Attached are a few pictures of the aluminium silencer that the bike came with. Internally both the round inlet pipe and flat tail pipe extend to the opposite end of the box to provide some rudimentary baffling. There's also a small drain hole in the forward bottom end of the box. The entire system came in three parts, a steel header pipe (presumably the original Honda one), a steel pipe midsection (flattered to reduce the clearance around the right rear shock) and the aluminium silencer shown here. Hope this if of intersect and if you are thinking of making one up and need more accurate dimensions, then don't hesitate to ask. Mark.

    Jack, Thanks very much indeed for the photos. It’s just this sort of detail in terms of vinyl pattern and stitching that I want to replicate, and being able to pass on photos like these will help the upholsterer when I find one. First off though, I need to lay up a base unit. All, I’ll happily post some detailed pictures of the silencer when I get home (I’m working away at the moment). However, the unit I got with the bike when I purchased it second hand in 1979 is the same as is shown in the picture of the SSDT version on Jack’s link and also shown in the attached photo taken a few months after I’d bought the bike. It’s a black aluminium silencer with no middle box and held in place with a rubber engine mounting bolt from a Mini. The header pipe and silencer I have fitted now were handmade and the assembly includes a middle collector box. As for the airbox – that's the one component I don’t think I did keep from the days when I was competing on the bike. It came with a square aluminium box (approx. 4" x 3" x 3") with a foam element inside and a 3/4" slot along one side. I could never get the bike to run well with it and so replaced it with a plastic unit that I made myself - the bike only fractionally better with that. It can just about be seen in the attached picture, though I may have a better photo of it at home. I bought the bike in the original yellow and white livery but found that a little harsh on the eyes.     Jack, I've certainly spent a lot of time looking through the link you provided as it's one of the few places with a good collection of pictures, not just of the 125 and 250 Frasers, but also the many other (and more exotic) Honda 4 stroke trials bikes. The seat unit as pictures on the prototype bike is the same as the one lost by the restorers (while it was being sent away to be recovered) and it's things like overall length as well as the details of the stitching that I'm after replicating. As I say, I was gutted they lost it, not just because it was the original unit (I've kept all the other original parts such as silencer, header pipe, etc.) but because I now have to lay up a fibreglass base unit and get it recovered to replace the one lost. Any detailed pictures and overall length measurements would be a great help. Many thanks, Mark.

    Attached are a few pictures of my Fraser Honda 150 that I recently had restored. I've owned the bike for 32 years (since my schoolboy trials days) and thought it was time that I finally got it looking the way I wanted. Unfortunately the restorer lost the original seat unit, which was somewhat distressing as the bike was entirely complete and original up to that point. Given its rarity the chances of finding a replacement are slim to none so I’ll have to make a replacement from scratch. I am looking for dimensions and detailed photos of an original seat unit if anyone has any at hand. In particular I’m interested in the detail and placement of the stitching on the vinyl around the front and back of the seat. The internet does offer some pictures but they are not very detailed and of limited use. Many thanks, Mark.
