Found the seal? Next question is.......what's the best way to remove this seal without damaging the RHS cover (looks like pushing from behind is best) and where's the best place to buy these? Another question is can you recommend supplier of clutch holding tool for the Yam SY 250 engine? Thanks for all your top tips to date! Greg

Guys- removed rhs engine cover and there's a large (14mm) bolt in front of the water pump seal. I've tried to remove it (carefully with a piece of alu bar between the cogs on the water pump gear and the clutch cogs. Assume this is an anti clockwise thread and I just have to give it a bit more muscle? Cheers for any comments

Ill double check the rad fluid-tempted to replace the oil seal on the water pump as it looks a simple job and at the same time drill and tap oil level bolt which previous owner seems to have stooped the thread on (outer covers are made of Stilton I think!) .......thanks for all comments to date

Guys-my 2007 SY250 had an oil change today and oil looks a bit milky coloured......any ideas where this could be coming from.....water in rad seems to be at the same level but I'm not sure what it takes to contaminate the oil??.......PS just started using this forum and it's brilliant info has been used already to sort my carb and clutch ( usual issues of a good clean and the right oil!)
