I was looking for the opposite actually. Found a 2009 a guy owned. He couldn't get it to run right. Never rode it much because of that. Went to look at it. Bike started and ran backward. Kick start lever broke. Clutches were stuck together. $2300 U.S. later I had a bike. One weekend of work we had it running perfectly. Just needed timing changed, clutches removed and sanded lightly. New kickstart lever. Slight jetting change. Bike starts and runs absolutely perfectly now. Been offered $3500 for it but I turned it down.- Graphics?

Custom look? I just want.... something! What's on it looks like crap(meaning scratched, beat up, or even missing). What you have to understand is, unlike a Sherco dealer on every corner, here in the USA a 'Sherco dealer' is someone that signed up to sponsor their kid riding the bike so maybe they might be able to get parts to keep it running. Closest real dealer is over 2 hours away and has nothing in stock in the line of parts. Everything must be ordered, then sent to me or I drive 2 hours(one direction or 4 hours total)to get it. Or I get online, and have someone (RyanYoung)in Kentucky, the next state over (still 7 hours away!), send it to me and I get it overnight. Now, if you want to talk Honda, there's a dealer in town. Harley? In town. That's it! Even Yamaha or Suzuki or Kawasaki are 1.5 hours away. KTM 1.25 hours away. What you have to understand is just how f'ing large this country is! You don't just take a stroll down ye ole street and grab ye some bloody Sherco parts. I did talk to nearest dealer and he told me 'you have what? There's very few of those around'. So, instead of you stuck up limies giving me crap, congratulate me for having the presence of mind to even get a trials bike. Hell must of my riding buddies have ridden for 20-40 years and.... HAVE NEVER EVEN SEEN a trials bike, let alone a Sherco! Thanks for your kind welcome to your sport and to your site.- New-To-Me Bike. New To Trials Riding
Thanks.. Changed pilot out to a 36, retarded timing slightly. Runs absolutely perfectly now. Not bad for..... $2300- Graphics?

- Hello From West Tn, Usa
First trials bike, long time rider. Looking like a first time rider and loving it.- New-To-Me Bike. New To Trials Riding
Is this clutch sticking more of a trials bike thing, a two stroke thing, or what. My ktm 4 strokes never thought of doing this. I don't really remember any of my off road two strokes doing it either.- New-To-Me Bike. New To Trials Riding
Just read the Beta fix. This one didn't have cold stick, it had STUCK plates as in stuck together completely. Like the PO put the plates in dry and let it sit. They were that bad. 15 minute fix .- New-To-Me Bike. New To Trials Riding
Will do. Thanks- New-To-Me Bike. New To Trials Riding
And the offending transmission oil drained and replaced. It was gray and nasty looking. Put in Honda 80-85.- New-To-Me Bike. New To Trials Riding
Clutch plates have all been removed, freed, lightly sanded, oiled, and replaced.- New-To-Me Bike. New To Trials Riding
Long time woods rider. Picked up an '09 2.9. Needed a small bit of work. Clutches stuck together. Timing off a little, leading to starting backward. Have a flywheel puller ordered to fix that problem hopefully. Other than that it's in good shape. Tight engine and wheel, suspension bearings, etc. Changed the tranny oil. Good deal on the bike for what it was. Now to have fun. - 2008 Sherco
