Just been on hobby king website and spoke to an advisor I said I wanted to run 3 lifepo batteries and they said use xt60 connectors and suggested a easy off tool and also showed me a charger they do that I can plug all 3 batteries in at once to charge them

So if I get 3x4s do I get 5000,8000!

I thought I had it all understood lol but then you guys started talking all high tech all I want is for someone to draw a diagram of how to run them in series to get 36v and a list of exactly what I need and a diagram of how to charge them I don't mind charging individually either. I would pay money for this lol

I'm going to do 5s as looks easier to charge with 2 chargers and run

Hey bowser I'm with you on this there the batteries I'm going to go for 3 of them and run then in series.

Ok I now understand the charger I need and the connectors xt60 I need to swap and run in series. If I go lipo with 3 x 12v3s can I get any make batteries? Which are the best make? Also can I run 3x12v6s?

Or Mikedufty a list for the lipo if you only changed the connectors for battery's on the oset and batteries to the xt60 connectors. Is it the same charger for the Lipo and lifepo4 batteries?

It's OK I don't mind charging them individually as she only gets to ride it 1 or 2 times a week. What connectors do I use or are the bullet points ok to use which are already on there? And could you send me a link to the charger I will need please so I don't buy anything wrong. I knew this site was a good idea lol thank you for all your help

Sorry I ment positive to negotiate to link them and then the end negative to the bike and the other end positive to the bike?

Lol ok thanks. So run them in series and I think I will just buy a charger it's only about £15 I think if I'm looking at the right one. So to run them in series it's all positives together and then negative together?

Thanks gwty if I buy 3 of those and run them parallel yer? And all I have to do to the bike is change the spade connectors to the others? This sounds great what charger would be best?

O right I'm running 36v through my 24v at the mo anyway so does that mean all I got to do is wire lipo batteries? If so could you please tell me exactly what I need as I will try and do it this weekend if all I need to do is change the oset spades and link the batteries together. Do I need a new charger and can they be charged in place I'm currently taking out my batteries to charge them

That would be great if you could and a few pics if possible. I also read with lipo u got to install a kelly controller that what I really didn't get as resistors and stuff had to be installed?

Ok brill thanks for getting back to me I think I may do the lifepo4 batteries as iv read this whole thread and still don't understand what is what lol. I would be fine with the charging did of it and buying the stuff to do it its just the instalation on to the bike I won't be great at.

Hi I feel so stupid as don't really know what you are saying? Iv found a battery it's a lifepo4 24v 10ah and it's just one big battery but they do a 36v one aswel and I was just wondering if that would work ok and last longer? I would love to do the lipo conversion but I think I'm just to stupid lol

Hi everyone I'm new to all this iv recently bought my daughter a an oset 16.0 24v and she is loving it but the batteries are not lasting to long so my question is are the lifepo4 24v batteries off ebay for £159.00 any good as straight swap? Do they last alot longer and deliver more power? If not is does anyone have a picture diagram on exactly how to do the lipo conversion as iv read this whole tread and iv got a headache lol. Also regarding the zippy flightmax 5000 is there any reason y I can't use the 30c ones? I will be so greatful to all the help you guys can give.
