Thanks for the tip. I've actually solved the problem I think. Using the syringe sucking technique rather than the pedal pumping approach I've now got some pedal pressure. Well see how it goes...

Hi guys, Just bought myself an old SY250, and giving it a bit of love. I've determined that the rear brake doesn't work, builds up no pressure at the pedal and no fluid comes out of the bleed valve. I'm planning on pulling the master cylinder and checking it out - how do I remove this thing? Do I have to drop the swingarm or something>?
