  1. That works to figure out what size my clutch master is, but a lot of the used ones out there only give a year and make. Doesn't say what size bolt they use.
  2. Ryan Young was ready to sell me a new braktec clutch mc for $180, supposedly it works with the stock hose. The clutch works ok right now so I figured i'd just look for a cheaper used replacement. But ya, gonna be kinda hard to find unless someone knows a specific year and model that works. Bah.
  3. Do you guys know which AJP clutch masters will work with the stock sherco clutch hose? Im not sure what size the banjo bolt is and theres a few different years and makes of ajp clutch masters on ebay right now.
  4. Went ahead and ordered a complete front and rear brake braktec setup from Ryan Young today. Going to keep an eye out for an older AJP clutch master but since mine currently works figured i'd save that for another day.
  5. Just got a quote from Ryan Young trials, $740 to replace front, rear, and clutch with all new braktec MC and calipers. Not that bad really.
  6. So what would be the most advisable way forward? Find used AJP from the 2011 bikes if possible? Buy brand new braktec? If the clutch just is the way it is ill just live with the formula clutch. I lived with the montesa so no worries there. I think i'd start with a complete front brake system replacement as thats the one that bothers me the most.
  7. After some more back and forth on another forum It looks like I actually have a 2.9 not a 3.0. It says 3.0 on the radiator and i'm not sure where that came from, maybe it was replaced with a 3.0 radiator at some point? The VIN number indicates its a 2.9 so 270cc. Actually preferable at my level lower cc is better, but now I know!
  8. I see that the 2012 Sherco ST 2.9 formula controls are not well loved online. Weirdly I seemed to miss this in my research before buying this bike. So now after the fact and after some more riding. My front brake is odd, it goes 0-100% braking very quickly but then I can still pull the lever all the way to the bar and it feels spongy. The rear brake is weak and I have to apply a ton of force to get it to lock up. My clutch feel is quite heavy, comparable to my old 315r montesa, and nothing like the gasgas clutch weight I was hoping for. So what are my options? Is it worth trying to "fix" these formula controls, new pads, bleeding, rebuilds? What are my options for replacement if its not worth trying to fix what I have?
  9. Bought a 2012 Sherco, it says 3.0 on the radiator. The manual for this year only lists a 125, 250, 290, and 320 4t. So what do I have here?
