  1. Hi, email me, mcousins@westnet.com.au and I'll send you Rex's brother's details. From memory I think Rex modded a standard Whitehawk frame to become mono and after the prototype the alterations were done professionally. I'm sure Rex (or his wife!) will have the answers.
  2. Ram Yam's were produced in Kent by an old friend of mine Rex Piles. I've lost contact with him now but I do have his brother's contact details, he could point you in the right direction. From memory the project was a little ad-hoc! I don't think there were any drawings or parts lists but it did work quite well at a time when monoshock for trials was the in thing.

    Ty175 Clutch

Hi All, I've got 2 TY15's on the go, just started to strip the motors and have found that both clutch baskets have perceptible rotational play between the centre boss and the basket itself. They seem to be riveted together.... is this normal or would the rivets require a remedial hammering? This is yet another in a probable long line of questions during this dollar sapping process!! Thanks - Mark Perth, Australia
  4. Hi all, does anyone know of any sensible mods to liven up a standard TY175? I'd like to make it respond a little more like modern bikes. Maybe take some meat off the face of the flywheel (how much?) and I know the porting can be altered but don't know the specifics... and I'd hate to end up with a useless barrell! Thanks in anticipation Mark, Perth Australia
