  1. Thanks for that d2w. I had thought of the bike shops regarding the fork parts and I see Marzocchi have an approved vendor in the UK so I'll try that if all else fails. There's a guy here in Ireland I've used for suspension rebuilds in the past so maybe he can check if it's the same as another manufacturer part as I have the dimensions. It would be ideal if they were available direct from a shop online though. The part number actually shows us on Greenlandmx.eu website but its out of stock. I'm still waiting on a reply to see if they can get it for me.
  2. Thanks for the diagrams. I've had a look for the part numbers and can't seem to find anywhere that actually stocks them. Hopefully this doesn't become a major issue!
  3. It may be distorted as the spacer used for extra clearance when the flywheel weight is installed was also out of shape and letting water in. Hopefully when I bolt it all back together again it'll line up a bit better. The bag I put the cover bolts in has disappeared so I need to get new ones on order now. Thanks for the tip on the inserts, they could leave a mess all right if they were to come out.
  4. I'm in the process of rebuilding a 2006 TXT Pro 300 that has been lying in my garage for a few years. I split the forks to do a simple oil and seals change but it has become a bit less straight forward. I haven't serviced forks on a trials bike before but have serviced forks on road based bikes several times. When I split the gas gas forks, I noticed the springs are coated in red paint and this has all started to flake off and obviously contaminate the oil as well. This seems like a silly finish to have on a fork spring. Are these aftermarket springs? One of the forks also has a broken shim (RHS fork). I'm not sure if I was a bit rough removing the cartridge (it wasn't easy to disassemble as parts were jammed together with the ground up paint from the spring) or if it was broken in there all along. Where can I get parts for these forks? I've been googling and found a parts diagram but the part numbers show up as discontinued/out of stock everywhere.
  5. I don't think I'd be able to get the cover sealed properly if I leave it catching. I'll have another go, if I can't get it sorted I may have to get one of the gasket spacers for the weighted flywheels.
  6. I'm pretty new to trials bikes in general and I'm rebuilding my 2006 TXT PRO 300. I noticed the flywheel has a weight installed and there's also a spacer under the flywheel cover. This wasn't sealing correctly so there was some mud and dirt built up inside. I've removed it and cleaned, etc but I want to try the bike with no flywheel weight. I had to drill the bolts off the weight as they were seized but got it off in the end (still have to finish drilling the threaded parts). The problem now is that the flywheel cover still catches the flywheel with no weight on (with the cover spacer removed as well obviously). Have I done something wrong here or why is there no clearance? The flywheel is not flush with the end of the crankshaft but I don't think it was when I removed it either. I tried with no key on the shaft and it's the same.
  7. Hi All. I purchased a 2006 TXT Pro 300 5 years ago but never really used it much as I don't know any other trials riders locally. Plus I was into track racing so hadn't the time really. Now I'm rebuilding the bike as it hasn't had much TLC from me or its previous owner by the looks of it. When it's all done I hope to put more effort into learning to ride properly!
