    Thank you baldilocks, great description! Even a numpty like me could follow. Shorting the thermoswitch out had the fan running (so quiet!!) so that narrows it down and I'll try to find a switch. Thanks again

    Hi All, new rider to trials bikes. I couldn't find a bike anywhere and mate offered me a TRS without a model. Graphics say 300 RR but no year - anyone have a link to a VIN decoder? I've bought it and I know it's not the right usage but I've been using it to get around the farm/move cows. It's great fun pootling around doing fig 8's in the dark winter nights. Rarely get out of 1st gear, walking would often be faster. Last night when I got back the radiator was steaming from the pressure relief valve on top of the radiator. Obviously that's pretty concerning - what's the normal troubleshooting steps? I haven't heard the fan kick in and can't find a thermoswitch. Should it be able to idle around for an hour without steaming? Cheers
