    74 Ty250 Seat

Thanks very much for the reply. It's the steel base inside that I was curious about and now that I know I can go about making one. Regards - Norm

    74 Ty250 Seat

Has any one re-covered a ty250 seat. I need to know if the foam has a base inside the vinyl cover to to support it. The factory parts drawing shows the padded piece as a stand alone part that bolts to the fibreglass seat fairing. Mine is not original and it feels like someone has used a piece of plywood inside.
  3. I found a kick start from a 1975 yamaha DT250B. It's almost identical and bolts strait on.
  4. I saw that. I'm the same as you in regards to wether or not to buy it. Parts for my bike are all fairly unique and straight forward so I don't know how often I would actually use it. In the case of this kickstart it's not a must have thing so I don.t want to pay huge Yamaha bucks for it. I'll be just as happy finding a half decent one on ebay.
  5. My 74 250TY currently has a kickstart on it from some model of Honda. It works but is a bit too long. I have the original lever but not the splined boss. I have seen very similar parts from period Yamaha dirt bikes but part numbers all differ. I'm sure some of these must be the same. Does anyone have any cross-over part number information, or have used any of these parts?
