  2. Once again amased they are excluding(other) twinshock riders still, just nuts!

    They just don't get it!

Please note.... " In addition to the AHRMA classes, a support class will be available for twin-shock and modern support riders. No championship sections will be available but all trials riders are welcome to attend."...

No bikes or riders were excluded at this event. It was a great event, too bad you did not come and join us.

  3. AHRMA Vintage Trials - October 2nd and 3rd

    Trials Training Center, Sequatchie, TN

Sections designed for vintage bikes but are acceptable for twin-shock and modern bike support riders. In addition to the AHRMA classes, a support class will be available for twin-shock and modern support riders. No championship sections will be available but all trials riders are welcome to attend. AHRMA no-stop rules apply to all classes.

    Sign-up: Saturday @9:00 a.m.; Sunday @8:30 a.m.

  4. We would like to see an AHRMA trials presence in the Northeast. However, we have not been fortunate enough to find a location and/or a promoter or individual(s) willing to commit to doing an event this year. Last year, two events were scheduled in the northeast. One in Ijamsville, MD which was a great event; and the second one scheduled in Woodstock, WV was cancelled due to the AHRMA/AMA split.

  5. The rule modification to allow a twin-shock class for bikes newer than 1977 was again turned down by the board; however, there will be a support class at most events and we welcome the participation of all bikes. Individuals riding in the support class (twin shock and modern bikes) will not receive AHRMA National Series Points and the AHRMA No-Stop rule applies. The sections will be modern skill level intermediate and below, championship sections will not be available. The event previews on the www.ahrma.org website will normally give all the information about the event and the availability of support classes; however, you may also contact us for information ee.peacock@comcast.net.

  7. It is interesting to read your complaints regarding the national trials schedule for both 2008 and 2009. Do you have a location in mind to schedule an event east of the Mississippi and are you willing to do the work to coordinate and set the event?

As the AHRMA trials coordinators, we have had a request out for over a year for anyone knowing of a location in the east that would be available for an event. We have had no responses to that request. We cannot arbitrarily schedule an event without having a willing landowner/promoter and someone willing do the work associated with the event.

In 2008, we lost Devils Ridge and Broome Tioga because either the promoter or the individuals who had previously set the events decided that they were not going to do them again because of the low turnout. Therefore, you do not just go ahead and put them back in the schedule to give you a location east of the Mississippi.

For 2009, we attempted to schedule a two-day event east of the Mississippi; however, that location did not want to commit to an AHRMA event until after they had an opportunity to see the ITSA schedule. Another location east of the Mississippi is not on this year

  8. Leaked from the next Vintage Views:

So we know who's against. I'm surprised at Matt Hilgenberg. And even more surprised that Jeff Smith voted "for".

At 3-9 there is a little work to do. If Ed Peacock will recommend Twinshock, it may help some. But I don't know what his stance is... yet.

For the record, I am the one who submitted the rule change to AHRMA in response to many requests from AHRMA members as well as non-members. Statistical data in support of the request was provided as part of the proposal and the inclusion of the additional twin-shock bikes would in no way impact or detract from of the premier bikes since they would not be competing against these bikes. If you have any questions relative to the proposal, please feel free to contact us. Ed
