  1. Good to see you here Fred! Can't wait for warmer weather. I just removed a few inches of global warming from my driveway... See you in the Spring! -Judson
  2. Good looking bike you've got and a great video for sure. Looks like a good group to ride with. Fear no Tent!
  3. I am up for that trail ride in Red Feather! I had the privilege to attend one of Ryan's classes a few years back, it was top notch. Too bad I didn't ride trials for the last few years after to practice the techniques.... lol. Don't go betting with me, I rarely loose. I won't take your money, just your generous offer to come up and ride with you! I got my bike for about $500 less and paid $25 to ship it from SoCal.... Long story... lol. I had already sent the money off for this one when I saw his ad. I would have liked to have at least looked at it, seemed like a decent price. I'll definitely let you ride mine to see how the Sherco feels, each mfgr has a distinct feel about them. I LOVE the Beta brand, but this was in my price range. Take care!
  4. qcowboy, WELCOME!!! Welcome to the madness! WMTA & RMTA are both GREAT! I would love to ride indoors with you.... or outdoors as weather permits. I am in the amatuer class (just above novice) so I do not have much to offer in learning, other than encouragement, a high entertainment value, help to pick you and your bike off of eachother and an occasional dare I do have Ryan Young's Video we could watch and attempt to emulate. You may want to pick up a copy. I can help you setup some easy sections that would not be too tough. Usually the trail ride is the most dificult thing for newer riders, but since you have riding experience, and a place to practice, you shouldn't have any problems come spring time. I just picked up a bike over the weekend. I got a used 2002 Sherco 2.9. It was in pretty decent shape. I let my kid ride it and was teaching him clutch control. He was doing fine until he used the clutch like a switch and looped it out. Munched the plastic but he was ok. Can't wait to ride with you! -Judson
  5. For those of us on this side of the pond, it can only help give a little exposure to the obscure nature that is the state of trials in the US. EnduroCross has put trials heros in a bit of the spotlght, and I believe it will help grow interest here. If we are lucky, we can drive 2-3 hours or more twice a month (not counting winter months) to make a comp. -Judson
  6. Hey Doug! Count me in!.... I am looking for bikes right now... I would like to buy 2 but the oldest and I may need to share for a while... Talk about a great group..... I showed up at an event in Torrington in 2002 (maybe '03) just to check out the scene. I met Fred Martinson and the whole group. They asked if I wanted to ride, but I didn't have any gear. They would have provided me a bike, helmet and boots for me to ride with, on the spot..... I had to decline as we had our 4 month old son with us, and not really set to spend a day there. How cool is that?!? See you up there in '09 Judson
  7. I was part of both RMTA and WMTA when I rode before, they are both great clubs, super friendly. The only problem there is that the comps are usually 3+ hours each direction. Historically RMTA has only held one event north of I-70 and WMTA does most of theirs up near Casper. I know of a few places to ride near where I'm at..... Left Hand Canyon (in PRB) Couple trials in Redfeather and then the seasonal Pawnee....I may need to buy some land that is unbuildable due to rocks... lol Thanks man! No pressure felt!
  8. Hello all, I have been lurking on here for a while (I may have had an ID at one time but can't remember) and had abandoned trials for a couple of years. Well I am trying to get back to task. I miss trials and trials people. I am not a strong rider but eagerly look forward to getting bikes for me and my oldest. My youngest already has an Oset 16" and learning to ride. We live in Northern Colorado and will ride a few events with RMTA and WMTA in '09 if we can find a couple bikes at a reasonable price.... lol Take care! -Judson
  9. LOL, Ian beat me to it..... that will teach me to try and multitask.... Keep your camera handy Ian!!!
  10. Hey David, I'll ask Ian (Olivers dad) today. I am pretty sure it is trottle control. You should see some of this kid's technique for obstacles.... he is AMAZING! He has been watching trials since birth..... Some of the slow motion shots on osetbikes.com show just how much he emulates the top riders. Regards, -Judson
