  1. Hi Guys, been following this thread with interest. My problem on my 06 290 is that there seems to be excessive "play" in the rear end - vertically. I removed the rear shock thinking it was the lower bearing on the shock ( Rose Joint ). However, on inspection this is fine. Looking at the dogbones, there is some play in the bearing. Minimal but there. Then there is that triangulated linkage which connects to the swingarm. That needle bearing has alot of play. I am in 2 minds whether to just buy a full bearing kit or try to eliminate the play by just replacing the bearing on the swingarm. Anybody else have this problem? When I put the bike on a stand ---- the rear end moves about 5mm up and down. Feels very loose. Is this a common problem or something unique to my bike? Thanks for any input you can give.
