  1. Howdy,

Thought I pop a quick post up here in the meet and greet area !!!

My name is Mike, a long time rider... born and raised here in Colorado. I have some

very limited trials experience with a couple prior bikes (Bultaco Alpina, Yamaha TY-250).

I just picked up a new to me 1980 Bultaco Sherpa 350 199a. Not going to jump

on any competitions out of the gate, just go bumping around in the mountains

with my buddy on his Yamaha TY350 !!!

Here's a link to my restore on my Sherpa... enjoy !!!

  2. I am more amazed that you got the bike painted with it all together. Looks like some blue splotches (4th picture) on the grass

    It does look nice.

    Thanks !!!

LOL... ya saw that huh ???

Better on the grass then that dang garage floor (done that before) !!!

It will mow out next week after it grows a bit... wife thinks I'm crazy.

  3. looks good, Fox Shox should be mounted with the chamber at the top as they were on your bike originally. I have these on my 199A as well. Also if you rotate the kick start lever forward on the spline a notch or two, you will get a bit more engine rotation before the kicker hits the footpeg.

Where did you get the new fenders and the tank decals?

    Bob

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for compliment and the tip on the Shox !!! I'll get them flipped over ASAP.

The new fenders came with the bike and the decals I ordered from

Hugh's Bultaco Motorcycles, they carry the fenders and a whole load of other stuff too.

  4. Just joined up and going to pick up my new to me 1980 Bultaco 199A, 350 Sherpa T !!!

Anybody on this side of the pond have a left shift setup that they would like to sell ???

If not, I'll order one at www.bultacouk.com

Love the site and have already learned a lot... Thanks !!!
