Gasgas 125 And 250 Gearing?

Featured Replies

What standard gearing should I have on my 07 250? The rear is currently a 42 and I'm not sure whether to fit the 10 or the 11 tooth front.

My wife has a 125 - is 9/42 gearing right or should we go with 9/48?

Also what chain is best for the optimum combination of lightness and weight?

Thanks

Arent lightness and wieght the same thing??

The best chain is the iris one which is very lightweight and quite strong. As long as you look after it, it should last for ages.

:guinness: hi i have a 07 gasgas 125 and i have gearing 9/48 and i find that its spot on pulls 2nd 3rd 4th quite easy :guinness: i used to use 9/46 but i found that really didnt work for the 125 :guinness:

Hi I have an 06 gasser 125. On BigWiggs advice I changed the gearing to 9/48 and is spot on! Use second alot more but 1st for the bigger stuff! I would recomend this gearing 100%.

Cheers

sean

Id go for the Renthal chains last twice as long as any other and dont really stretch much quite a lot of the iris chains have been snapping around this area after a couple of rides...
