My 2007 TXT 300 had a stuck fan. Rather than pay a rip off

Hi I have a question for the guru's out there. I have a 2010 TXT Pro 250. Lest year I noticed that there was fuel in the gearbox oil when I changed it. That precipitated a complete engine rebuild. Glad I did it because it was pretty worn. I had only had the bike a few months and bought it to get into trials (a decision I dont regret for one minute ) I bought literally every seal and bearing, clutch, top end, crank was rebuilt as well. When it came to fitting the main bearings I took them out of the box (The new style XiU-rdiOnes) they were so tight that it was impossible to rotate them. I've replaced the broken nylon part with the metal one, but not sure where to position it. I've watched Jim Snell vid (thanks Jim, hope your vids will live forever), but it's still not clear. Anybody here know? After watching the vid, this position looks like what Jim says, but my gut feeling is that it should rest up against the case to help support it. (slightly more clockwise that the attached pic) TIA

Hi I am looking for some help with the electrics on this machine which I purchased as a pile of parts. The machine is a 2001 model I am looking for some guidance on the electric fan circuit and cant find any drawiings on this, no wiring was with the machine. I have what appears to be a small black box with 4 wires and a small 3 legged IC, which i assume that this could be the ac dc converter and possibly a voltage regulator and would appreciate some help on how to wire these components, The Stator has 3 wires one black and 2 orange There is also a small blue 2 terminal round box fixed to the fan cowling, can anyone identify this unit R…

Picked this up last weekend as a non-running project for $750. Been working on it for the last week and she's running good now. Hi all. Don't suppose anyone has a stator for a 2005 txt boy? Little boys is messing around. Doesn't spark unless you kick it over really fast for ages then it will spark fine. It's the internal rotor stator

Hi I have managed to find a fix for the ongoing gas gas boy ignition problems,i have repaired my sons bike and his friends and we have had no problems after much testing and the parts are readilly available .I am not offering to carry out the mod or sell you the parts as i seemed to suffer a fair bit of abuse and negative comments from forum members last time i tried to help . for the information sheet email me at racing50chris@aol.com Any negative comments please keep them to yourself as i only deal in the positive

Does anyone have an image of timing marks and settings on a 1998/99 TX 250, or ways to set the timing. I’m rebuilding an engine for a friend and it came to me in a box so I’ve no way to determine where it was previously set. Thanks

Just got a new Gasgas, coming from a 23 sherco, I had an opportunity of a really good deal on a brand new Gasgas so I want to try that and sell whichever one I like riding less. The gasgas is so much longer than the sherco, the reach seems quite a bit longer. For guys that have ridden a bunch of different trials bikes, you guys find that? How did you adjust?

I'm at ropes end trying to sort out a very fussy 2017 e4 gas gas txt 125, bike only has about 5 rides on it by my 13 y/o daughter and it is safe to say that it is impossible to start for her. To her credit, the count of experienced adults who either can't start it or have extreme difficulty getting it lit, is now 5. For some reason I seem to be able to kick it over briskly enough to get it to fire, but this is not a very workable solution as if she's not with me she's stuck with a dead bike. Hi folks, I’m just rebuilding the above engine. I’m after a set of 6206 main bearings for her. Im trying to establish if they are C3 or standard bearings that are required. I’d have thought C3 , but just making sure as it’s for a friend. Thanks everyone.

Evening folks Ive a small issue with my bike , it can be tricky to start, it feels like the kickstart is only engaging at the bottom of the stroke of it. I know this model can have a knack to start but any feedback or help would be great. Also the clutch casing has a crack in it (please see attached photo) where kickstart runs through which I’d assume would not help. What could cause this to crack ? Quick question regarding draining the oil after my water pump seal failed on my 2004 Gas Gas TXT Pro 125. I've replaced all the water pump components with a new kit (shaft seal, impeller, circlip etc) and wanted to ask about draining the sump. Obviously there was water ingress into the oil so my question is how do I go about ensuring I have gotten all the water out of the sump?

Good evening. Thank you for accepting me. I've been practicing trials riding since I was 8 years old, always with Bultaco. My last bike was a Sherpa 350. Now, at 56 years old (oops!), I'm getting back in the saddle. I bought a Gas Gas TXT300R, disassembled. I found that the kickstart pinion is bad, as is the drive pinion. I've already ordered the replacement parts. I'll finish putting it together this week. Otherwise, it's pretty complete. I have a question about the VIN. According to the paperwork, it's a 2008 model, but it looks more like a 2011 to me. Could you help me? Thank you very much. I've attached a photo and the VIN. Thanks. VIN: VTRTG3003M0116194

New member. I wish I had found this form years ago. I have a 2012 TXT 250 I ride near every day. Went to town for milk and bread and when I tried to gear down to 3rd it would not click in. I rode home in forth and drained the oil. It was clean. Topped up the gear oil and went for a short ride. 3rd 2nd 1st now work but no 4th or 5th. It's now parked. I'm in Central America. Parts are limited. My son is going to California in a week and thought maybe he can get what I need to fix my gym on wheels. This bike keeps this old man healthy and fit. Any advice much appreciated. I'm thinking this is the problem in the screens…
