  1. The clutch will probably slip. At high speeds there is vibration and the motorcycle does not move! The size of the package is 25.8 mm, I checked the feredo in place and did not lag behind the disk. Spring size 37 mm.

  2. How oil do you put in the box of your 1994 Gas Gas JTR? I tried MOTUL TRANSOIL EXPERT 10W-40 and Putoline RS 75 this is a synthetic oil. I haven’t seen a video that before, or 5w-30 was regular oil, or was it mineral oil? Where can I find this? Could the Sentetic oil cause disc slipping? What oil do you use?

Recently bought a used 2022 txt250. Was running fine. Came with a flywheel weight and wanted to try it without it. After removing it but putting it back on, because I didn't have the right bolt for the flywheel without the weight, it started but only ran for a minute and couldn't get it restarted. Later in the day, tried again and started once but only briefly ran before backfiring or making some popping sound and now won't start. Now occasionally when trying to start it it will make a loud exhaust popping sound but will not start. Could it be related to having removed the flywheel and messing something up in the process or something else unrelated? Any advice on where to…

Folks, new to the forum, GG and trials generally.... can be found on other forums under same ID. Just bought the above as my first trials bike.... the guys who make this look easy must be magicians! Hard, especially in soft sandy stuff! Bike is ok for its age, used but used ok and looked after well..... seems to have starting issues, or you need to be a 2T Jedi to get the thing to kick! Sometimes I can start it ok, other times I can't get it to fire at all. Couldn't get it to start whe it was hot (outside also, low 30's, moderate humidity), was running ok but when I killed it to take a break, it wouldn't come back.... had to push it home! Tank says 3.1L, wasn't on re…

Revised to account for developing scope.... Went out for a run this morning and noticed what looked like a leak, wasn’t sure if it was from the cylinder or the bike had boiled over. Checking it out when I got back in, looks very much like a leak... thought it was idling high. Backfire on one of the kickstarts a tell tale. Pics on this link: Gasket Leak & Plugs It’s run a little lean... think the gasket has been on its way the last few rides. Is this a common failure on these bikes? Or sign of something else failing? Google indicates it may be a common issue.... got a gasket kit there. Only recent changes have been a few rides on 60:1 premix (motorex s…

This bike have the gold painted frame and was it not the 09 and 10 that came with agold painted frame. Can any body tell what the diffence is of these models? If there is any differnce other than the paint on the frame and engine

  9. I guess the thermostat on this bike i not working as it is supposed to since they have wired the electric fan so it runs all the time. On 1 of my Gas Gas TXT Pro bikes the fan is wired so it runs all the time. I supposed that i should i wire it back so it kicks in according to the thermostat Having the fan running all the time is not best for the electric fan motor so what do you think?

Hi guys New to me 2006 gasgas 125 seems very responsive, should I put a flywheel weight on to calm it down? Only ridden 250 and 300s but they all had lots of flywheel to calm them down, and were docile but this 125 just revs so fast, catches me out, odd!

The waiting begins. Really looking forward to seeing how this develops. EM paved the way but they are really going to be hurting once a few more electrics get released and this latest prototype looks very interesting.

  15. The above Ducati ignition fitted to the 04-07 250 and other capacity bikes is obsolete… anyone replaced theirs fairly recently and have any recommendations on what to do / which parts? I have seen so far… Trials Bike Breakers UK have a full Hidira kit (inc flywheel) Hell Team (Oz) have CDI and Rectifier plus full kit options Full kit on a couple of other websites I am going to keep looking for other options… nothing on Ali Express… confirmed obsolete by John Shirt Motorcycles (Gas Gas UK). Replacement costs seem to be either an arm/leg for the rectifier and CDI, or an arm and a leg for the full kit… full kit really not in the budget fo…

I have a 2014 TXT 250 and want to remove the clutch hub and basket to get to the kickstart bearing. I have the clutch centre bolt and washer out but even with a heat gun I cannot get the clutch off the shaft. The parts book doesn't seem to show anything extra, and I know from experience the earlier basket just pulls off. To I need to resort to more heat (a flame) or have I missed something? Anyone have any ideas? Regards Peter.

  19. Started by Wilton,

I’ve bought this bike a few months ago. Very pleased with it so far, but it’s obviously not been very well maintained, which is fine as I didn’t pay much and suspected that was the case anyway. My questions relate to the exhaust system. Firstly, it clearly has much black coke inside and every time I ride the bike for any more than about 15-20 mins I get a trickle of black oil running out of the lowest joint. I’m running an oil ratio of 60:1 - is this too much oil, hence the black trickle? Secondly, is this silencer designed to be repacked, and if so do I need to drill out the end cap rivets to get to the inside? Many Thanks

I have a 2023 GG 300TXT. The manual says spoke torque is 26 inch pounds for rear and 18 inch pounds for front. Most dirt bikes and other bikes I have owned are spec'd between 40 and 50 inch pounds I checked the spokes yesterday on my GG and they are much tighter then what the book called for. Am I misunderstanding something? Any and all thoughts are appreciated.
