Can anyone tell me how to set and check timing on my bike, engine is making an unusual noise after revving and letting it die to tick over. Power is still there and starts first time but feel could be timing that is problem.Sounds like it is firing again inside barrel?

My Pro model isn't adjustable, just 2 allan bolts holding the pickup in a fixed position. Unless yours is different or has elongated slots to adjust it, you could retard it to see if the noise goes away. (closer to tdc)

If it starts backwards, you've gone too far !
