My mate has just got a Sherco 290 but when he tried to put it on his existing bike insurance with Carole Nash, they couldn't do it as they said the bike is not on their system.

Anyone out there with a Sherco insured through CN?. Did you have similar problems?. When I insured my Scorpa 125 with them the same thing happened but they got round by rating it as a Honda MTX125.

Tell them it's a Bultaco Sherco, that's what is on their system.

Yep - Second that - I'm insured with them - Bultaco Sherco 290.

Come to think of it, mines third party fire and theft, so it makes it even worse. I tell you what, forget the price I pay, as I'm nudging the limit on the points front

I tried to get my gasser trials on my bm,gs insurance just for fire and theft and they couldnt wouldnt do it, would it have to have a reg to get insurance?

I have just got a sherco and looking to get it insured. My old Gas Gas policy with CN says its not covered for trials. Are you peeps on this forum insured with CN covered for road trials?
