Bleedin' Brakes!

Featured Replies

Hi folks. Any advice, help, tips, general good natured banter on the best method of bleeding brakes on a 2004 Mont? After a couple of major AOT's and a severe argument with a tree during which my hand came of 'slightly worse for wear, at the weekend I have a spongy front and almost non existant back brake - almost a non existant back into the bargain as I don't bounce like I used to and sidecars ain't that much lighter these days! Back brake was poor from the off which I originally put down to new pads needing some time to bed in. As usaul any help/tips would be very much appreciated and hopefully I won't have to spend all day Saturday in a cold, wet, dark garage - again!

Cheers

Hi there,

For the front, use a large a syringe full of brake fluid to back fill the sytem this is the way it is commonly done now? Anyway I believe that the majority of people on here would advise you to do this and not from the master cylinder down!

As for the back brake I am unsure how to do it myself so will let someone else advise on that! :)

Cheers

Sean :)
