2 Stroke 4 Stroke

Featured Replies

Hi folks

I am returning to the sport after sometime(far too long) and I have just purchased a scorpa 163 4 stroke. In previous years I have always had 2 stoke machines and now I taken the leap I was wondering if anyone had any riding tips for riding a 4 stoke in comparison to the 2 stroke machines and what is the best fuel to use???

welcome back Spike. My advise is to just enjoy yourself and don't listen to the anti-4 stroke crowd.

My 4 Rt seems to love any fuel. It is much less sensative to fuel then my 2 stroke (315 R) was.

as for 4T riding tips, just keep it flowing.

I trust you'll be trying it out at Lincoln on Sunday.

indeed i shall so long as me license turns up on time.. and I think a few trials on the easy route are required. iguess you ride around lincolnshire? do you know of any practice areas other than wilsons in barton and meg quarry

Meg quarry is strictly limited for practice now, since it changed hands, you need to speak to the club at a trial.

yeah i asked the club about it and they said you can only use it every fifth sat that falls on the 13th of the month if it's not raining. shame really was a really good set up before :hyper:

there aint alot of places to practise nearby but if you dont mind travelling then matlock is a good place with a few venues like dudwood farm and bracken rocks but to be honest the only thing to do in lincolnshire is to ride the trials and get as much practise as you can whilst doing the trial, you`ll be nakerd like but at least your getting some extra to the sections

p.s probably see you at lincoln if your going
