March 5, 200719 yr HI I have owned a yamaha ty175 for about 20 years the date of registration was May 1984 I was trying to find out if the bike is near to the end of the production run, chassis no:525222625 or did they carry on later than 1984 ? Cheers Matty
March 5, 200719 yr I have seen them later than 84. I remember a load of 125s being sold fairly cheap at the time just after the 17 yr old law changed where they could only ride a 125 on L plates as opposed to a 250 cc bike. I worked at a motorcycle dealers back in the day and they got a load of 125s from Mitsui. The law change made many 175s etc virtually worthless over night. Didn't hit trials bikes as hard as the road bikes at the time.
