May 15, 200719 yr I'm looking at a used 2001 TXT280. The owner says there is a pinhole leak in the gas tank. How expensive is a replacement tank? When my son's 2000 TXT280 gas tank started leaking at the weld seam, I checked into a new tank and I think it was like $350 or more for a new one. So I took it to a good aluminum welder who welded it up for $39.
May 31, 200719 yr I have a 2004 125 Pro and a 2006 200 Pro, both tanks leaked! Poor workmanship is the only possible cause. What I have done to both to cure the problem is mix up some fibreglass resin, pour it into the tank and float it around all the weld joints. It cost me aoubt
