May 17, 200719 yr As above rellay. Would like to know how easy it is to fit a set of fat bars to a beta rev3 2000 or would it be easyer to fit a set of a newer year, say 2006-2007... thanks
May 17, 200719 yr Depends on the top clamp on there to be honest. If the bottom half of the bar clamp is removable you can buy the correct size clamps easy enough to swap over and put new fat bars in. If however (more likely) the top clamp is one piece with the bottom halves of the bar clamps you will need to either get it machined out? or you coould try fitting one from a 2007 model? Not sure if it will fit mind! Better still you could get a VERY nice VMAR one
May 17, 200719 yr later will not fit ,the 01-07 have convetional forks Very good point! infact if they are upside down forks I doubt the V-mar ones will be available either!
May 17, 200719 yr Author thanks for the replys guys, I do have Up side down forks but the mounts are in two parts... so are the holes all standard size???? Anyone have a link to the rethal site or anywhere escle to buy them.. The V-mar look the bizz, how do you rate them??? Are they avilable here in the uk.??? thanks
May 17, 200719 yr There are some pretty trick looking ones on the gasgasuk site in the accesories page 5 Page 32 will see you a bit cheaper Renthall models Edited May 17, 200719 yr by barrybaines
May 17, 200719 yr The V-mar look the bizz, how do you rate them??? I had the V-Mar on my Beta and now on my Montesa, they are awesome but they don't make them for the USD forks Edited May 17, 200719 yr by sirhc
May 17, 200719 yr I presume that you are refering to the top yokes as apposed to the fat bar adaptors that allow fitment of the larger bars to the standard mounts!
May 17, 200719 yr Author What would help me on this one is if any of you who have either the standard fat bars or the renthal fat bars could give a measurement between to center of the holes on the clamps...
May 18, 200719 yr On our V-Mar top clamps, the spacing between the bolt holes on the bar clamp is 40mm (the bolts on either side of the handlebar), and the side to side spacing between the two bar clamps 80mm. The diameter of the standard bar is 7/8" (0.875" or 22.225mm) and the diameter of the fat bar is 1-1/8" (1.125" or 28.575mm) Hope that helps. Vince V-Mar Racing If you need more info I can probably post a dimensioned drawing or photo. Just let me know.
