OK folks, being off work for a week (mandatory holiday shutdown) I had time to complete the fiber plate modification document. This makes the clutch progressive, eliminates drag, cold stick, slip and reduces lever pull (if you leave two springs out). And the best part... It's free (if you already have the files and Dremel polishing wheel) Yes it will cost you some time but hey you're working on your bike. That's still quality time compared to working on the car. The PDF came out over 10Meg so if you don't have a high speed connection it may take a bit. Sorry but the pictures are necessary. Enjoy Andy Edit: File optimised and size reduced to 1.8MB Clutch_Fix.pdf …

Has anybody found a cure for the Sincro light-switch clutch yet? I've tried several things to fix it: 1. Changing the pre- installed settings 2. Changing the oil 3. Slipping the clutch in high gear to wear it down Despite this, it still snatches in slow turns, so I can't keep a line in a tight corner. Basically, I spent £7,000 on a bike which is not as good as my old one. Absolutely gutted.

I bought this bike 5 years ago maybe 6. First Owner bike. Used stickers and plastics but this bike was in very good condition. It's time to work on this bike ... one of my dream bike.

Hi all, There don't seem to be many rebuild threads on here of air cooled stuff, so thought I would post some pics of my TR34. I have had this since it was 6 months old, and it's had a pretty easy life until I left it in a shed with a leaky roof for a couple of years and everything corroded It's been a total strip down, frame, engine, hubs, etc all repainted, and everything that was plated, replated. It's been a struggle getting some of the bits, but nearly there now. I will add more pics as it progresses. I hope you enjoy the pics. Cheers, John.

I got the bike out yesterday after not using it at all last year and it was generally fine but the rear brake was binding a bit so I decided to overhaul it and replace the seals. It appears that Beta only do a kit which includes new pistons, which I don't need - has anyone found an aftermarket supplier for the seals only?

  12. So I just replaced the fork seals on my 2018. And of course taking the bolt out of the bottom of the damper rod is a problem. Finally got it out with pressure, impact driver, bad words. The cup at the bottom of the damper rod showed the dimple worn allowing that piece to rotate. Hmmm. So having score marks to go by I figured I’d drill new indexing holes to give the cartridge a better chance of staying in place. So this is just FYI.

Got my 08 rev 3 250 apart for new mains and crank. After splitting the cases I found markings engraved 1064. Does any one know what this would have been done for. Its obviously the engine has been apart before as the new mains uv had are the plastic caged ones direct from beta. Old bearings were ntn.

  14. Hi so I just picked up a 2018 evo80 Jr for my son.. bought it off the original owner who son rode it twice and never again and it has maybe 8hrs on it .. it had sat for atleast 4 years it wouldn't idle at all when we went to look at it and pulled the carb off and cleaned it all out and it runs much better but still is struggling idling for any period of time and stalls out . Ive played with the mixture screw and had varying results and it seems to run better for abit then not .. it runs great off idle so im not sure where to go with it ...plug looks good . Fuel supply is good. Airfilter is freshly cleaned and oiled. Im wondering if maybe its a jetting issue ? We are bel…

  15. Changing the seals on my (I think) Supertrial, which has nonadjustable 36mm upside down forks; I can’t find a spec for oil anywhere, which isn’t surprising for this model. I’m guessing 5wt, and I can guess at the level based on current level, but if love to have a real reference to work from. Suggestions?

I'm having a mare of a time trying to get the carb to stop *issing out petrol that ultimately causes blk oil to leak out of the exhausat header when kicking the bike over! Let me explain the bike was running ok until I switched over to reserve one day , after a few minutes of running it cut out and has not run properly ever since, I thought there was crap in the carb so refuled the bike and clesaned the carb out , a thousand kicks later still no good so cleaned the carb again and then a while later drained some fuel and even with tha fuel filter there was debris in the sample. I traced this back to a damaged fuel filter so replaced it and clenaed …

Hey first post looking for some guidance on my recently acquired 06 rev 3 had some wiring issues which lead to a not running issue which lead to me kick starting it with a couple loose bolts and cracking the inner clutch cover. replaced the cover got it all together and now have no clutch disengagement. when I pulled the inner cover I pulled the shift shaft out a bit before I noticed. i pushed it back in and seemed fine. Im very mechanically inclined just new to trials bikes does the shift shaft go into the slave and did I make a boo boo and pop the slave out?

  20. Hi all iv tried looking in google and the links dont work, So does any one know how you set the ignition timing on a 08 rev 3 250, I did mark up the stator plate but it looks some one e has advanced the timing as the bolt holes have two witnes marks. Any help is appreciated
