Hi I have a 2013 Beta Evo 4T which has started running very rich. It is fine on tick over but give it some revs and you get a cloud of black smoke. It also uses a lot more fuel than it did. It is not the choke stuck on. I can see the choke effect when I start it. I have cleaned out the carb and lowered the needle one notch but with no effect. Beta UK tells me they cannot supply any carb spares. Before I take the carb off again, any ideas on the possible cause of the problem? Thanks Stuart

Hi, wonder if someone can help me. We have a problem in the electric motor of our Beta 20xl electric minitrial. Our Beta supplier here cannot help me at the moment. Does anyone know if you can by parts for the electric motor (Doga 1350w 48v) or you have to buy it complete? I managed to contact Doga which are the suppliers of the motor to Beta but they need the part number which I cannot give them since the sticker on the motor came off. Their part number is different from Beta's. Thank you in advance.

Hi all, About to replace the clutch in my brother’s ‘22 Factory 250. When cold the clutch plates won’t release and it’s 5 mins riding before the clutch works. Ive had it in bits 3 times now and followed all the tips to clear the glue, file and dremmel the plates etc. but it still sticks on cold starts. Works perfectly once warm. I’ve given in and bought a new set of friction plates to fit. On the Factory there are 2 thicker friction plates which go on the outside edges (e.g 1st and last plate in the stack). Now the 5x metal plates are also slightly different as in there are 3 plain plates, and 2 plates with a 90degree lip on the bottom (insid…

Is the front wheel bearing spacer on a 2016 Evo just a simple tube or are there countersinks on the ends. The pics I see on line look like simple tubes. Would anyone know the exact length? Mine has countersinks on the ends that match the inner ring and sort of a bulging ring on the ends of the ID. Could this be correct? See pictures. To pull the front wheel from my Evo for a tire change, I had to use a hammer to get the axle out of the wheel. I never had to do that on this bike before and there is no corrosion. The bearings were crunchy feeling but there was no place to use a driver so I had to remove the inner race from one side to drive the beari…

Recently my bike overheated due to the fan not working.. fitted a new regulator and all was good. bike hasn’t been used due to gearbox strip down but now all rebuilt. bike ran at home with no issues in either the engine/ gearbox or the fan. Took it out Saturday and had intermittent fan for a few minutes then I lost all 12v on the bike again?… the bike starts and runs fine with fuel solenoid on the manual position .. fan will spin with a separate 12v battery connected. The regulator has five wires on the plug… black (earth).. two yellow from the stator and two blue which I assume is 12 volts output. what should I be seeing on the input to the re…

Reason being i'm only 140lb with my kit on, i've tried dialling them in but theirs still improvement that could be done TIA

Hi all, I just bought a '98 Techno 270 Dougie Lampkin Replica. I'm a very heavy dude and almost bottom out the stock rear spring. Does anyone know any compatible replacement springs available out there, before I go spending hundreds at a custom spring shop? I found this custom shock being sold for 02-08 Betas, I wonder if it could be retrofitted? https://www.omniaracing.net/en/rear-mono-shock-absorber-hagon-for-beta-250-trials-20022008-p-133644.html

I have a 2009 evo 250, my mate has a 2021 (or22) 300. My rear caliper simply has two pads with a screw in pin holding them in. My mate's has a spring in there, presumably to minimise pad rattling. I have not had a close look at his set up, so am not sure if they are identical or not. Does anyone know if I should have a spring in there? And if so, does it matter that mine is missing?

So casings split… nothing obvious that’s broken or damaged. Using an Allen wrench on the gear change drum on the clutch side I can get 1st, neutral and 2nd… and there it stops? always had a problem when going 2nd-3rd it felt like 2nd hadn’t fully disengaged but cleared if I went back to 2nd the up into 3rd… lovely & clean inside.. no debris or any sort to be found which in some respects is very good but was hopping to see something obvious and maybe something sat in the bottom of the casing! any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

At a trial yesterday, my 2010 Evo 300 4T was overheating and when I checked the fan, it was running very slowly with the bike at idle and when I revved it, the fan stopped completely. When the bike cooled down, the fan didn't start to run, which implies to me that the thermostat is OK. The fan can also be turned freely and there is no noise coming from it. Before the trial, I had removed the small covers on the frame to polish it, but I checked again and the wires don't seem to be trapped or damaged. Any suggestions on how to diagnose it or do I just need to buy a new fan assembly? Thanks

Title says it all, buddy is trying to local source a 10mm x ~105 mm engine bolt because the original aluminum one broke. Note to owners, don't over-tighten & might want to stock a spare something that works, seems the alloy bolt has a prior history of failure.

Starting to strip my 2013 4t.. gearbox issues…. Cant select gears, lat month I snapped the quadrant off the gear change shaft.. I repaired that and made a new pivot slide for the change fork as it was really sloppy… gear change was brilliant after… until I dropped the bike onto rocks now I can sometimes select either 1st or 2nd but nothing else… the gear shift drum behind the clutch basket isn’t moving so something is amiss in the gearbox.. started stripping the engine today and first snag is I can’t pull the plastic water pump impellor off its shaft!.. circlip is removed, there’s a little bit of movement between the shaft and the plastic impeller but it’s stuck fast!… tr…

Starting to strip my 2013 4t.. gearbox issues…. Can’t get enough slack on the chain to remove the cam shaft! tensioner is removed… manual says just to lift the chain off the gears and remove the cam but I can’t get enough slack. also the retaining ring for the cam shaft bearing is slightly too long to come free of the retaining groove to allow the bearing to slide off?!… Ive even tried removing the guides from the block but they won’t come out either at this stage I must be missing something in the manual but I can’t think what?

Has anyone done this? Could the Evo 4T share cases with any other Beta models so it may be possible with factory parts?

Would like to hear from anyone who has a Factory 200 regarding if it’s hard to kick start. The 2024 200 Compression Ratio is 11.8.1. My current Beta 250 Factory has a ratio 9.1.
