  1. Excellent help thanks. Really wish I had listened the clutch basket before I removed the engine. Circling behind the nut is kinda in the way of the nut. Is this normal? Do I need to mark any of these or do they all just go back on one way? Kind regards Thanks
  2. It does sound rough, as though the bearings are dry? Also drawing air from inlet manifold apparently.. Thanks
  3. Hi, I have been told that my 06 rev3 250 need an engine rebuild as noise from the main bearings, How hard a job is this? Are there any guides out there? Would i be better removing the engine and sending it to a company to do and who? Thanks

    Chain Length

Thanks, didn't know such a thing existed! I Usually ride in 2nd, but on an open trail it feels like im screeming 3rd so I change to 4th but 4th is too long so back to 3rd and so on. Really wanted to make 3rd longer really, didn't think it would have much effect on 2nd? Am I way off here or on the rite track
  7. Sorry to Hijack thread, But after filling with oil should the cap on the damper side be put on with the leg depressed or fully extended, obviously the spring side can only be done fully extended. Thanks

    Chain Length

Hi, I put a new chain on my rev3 250 06 today. I replaced the front sprocket to and went from a 10t to a 11t (partly as an experiment on gearing and partly as that was what was in stock!) I had 100 links in the chain before with the 10t so went for 102 with the 11t. My Problem With the chain fully tightened i.e wheel all the way out the chain seems to long, but with the wheel all the way in it looks like if i was to take another link out it would be too short.!! Scared to try it. Anyone else had this? Tempted just to get a 10t sprocket again. Cheers Jim
  9. Thanks for all the reply's.. Some good info there. Looks like ill go with a half inch of each side and then get used to that. Won't go anymore as now i think about it i can see why it would effect balance. Cheers Jim
  10. Hi, I have come from a Downhill and Various other Mountain bike background. I am of small build and always ran a small bar width. The only downside I heard of on push bikes is less stable at high speeds. Is there any reason why I shouldn't cut my bar width down? Is this common on motorbikes? Thanks, Jim
  11. That is expensive gear.. Any other suggestions on gear oil? Is it ok to use dot5.1 brake/clutch fluid as i have some spare, higher bp if if i remember?
  12. Hi all, newbie here and just bought my very first trials bike. I will have lots of stupid question so please bear with me!! Bike has been sitting for a while, only used 4 times in last 2 years so I am planning on replacing brake fluid, clutch, and gear box oil. I am unsure if the bike is 06 or 07 as the previous owner said it was an 06 but the manual it came with is an 07? Anyway I can tell and are they pretty much the same? What Gearbox oil should i be running as i can't seem to find the one stated in the manual online.. Anything else you guys would recommend me doing? All help and pointers appreciated! Cheers, Jim
