Has anyone fitted the upgraded ignition system to a TXT50?

I have the kit but the instructions although in English ??? have been written and translated by a Spaniard and as such are not that clear.

Upgrade comprises new Rotor / Stator / CDI / and Coil.

My TXT is a 2000 with an AC/DC convertor for cooling fan control, after I have fitted the new electrics I have a Green / Yellow wire left over which comes from a connector behind the headstock, which attaches to a yellow wire going to the AC/DC convertor. The Green / Yellow used to run down to the old stator, the old stator had 3 wires red, Black and Green/Yellow.

Having tried all possible combinations, I can still not get a spark. In fact I had a better spark with the old ( faulty) electrics.

Any help would be most welcome.
