June 6, 200719 yr After removing my rear wheel and replacing the tyre im having trouble tensioning my chain? what is the best way to do it, and how much clearance should there be at the tensioner?
June 13, 200719 yr hi, use the snail cams that are on either side of your wheel spindle to aline the wheel, this in turn tensions your chain the snail cams will have either notches or lines to help get it correct. make sure you have them the same both sides. i was told that if you can easily get your thumb between tensioner and swingarm your about right. but thats just how i do mine. hope this helps
