Beta Rev 3 2005 Or 2006?

Featured Replies

Hi there, i'm looking at buying a beta rev 3 and i have 2 bikes in mind, both the same price one is the 2005 beta rev 3 never been trialed and the other being the 2006 beta rev 3 its been trialed but only a couple of times, the 06 has a few usual trials marks where as the 05 has none, but im thinking the 06 is going to keep its value alot better but im just after a bit of help realy on what was the better engine etc the 05 or 06

Much Appriciated

06 is a much better looking bike and it will hold its price better. There is no point in buying an 05 with no marks becuse after a few trtias it will be the same as the 06. thats my thoughts anyway

Go for the 06.each year the small mods seem to make a lot of difference

I agree that you should get the 06. AS above, the 05 will only get knocked and scraped anyway.

Go the 06. The revised fork rake and foot peg position are better.

The engines are the same (as always some mapping difference - not much).

You will lose money on either one. Forget the resale, just ride!

Cheers, Chris

Hi guys how can you identify a 2004 to a 2005 rev 3, is there any difference.

Date codes stamped into the rims. An 03 will have 03 or 02 rims. It won't have 04 rims.

Looks like my 08 pretty much.  Muffler shield changed a bit, Keihin carb.
