August 21, 200719 yr Hello, Any ideas/tips/help/or previous knowledge??? Just sold my 2004 280 pro because i found the power was slightly to much, so now gone back to a 2003 250 pro... To be honest i think i find the 250 easier to ride (softer) but sometimes just need a little extra something.. I have a 280 flat slided carb sat around unused so have decided to try it on the 250 to give better bottom end to top end with out the full-on power the 280 brings. So i now have it fitted and it runs ok, feels a bit weak and doesnt tick over quite as smoothly as id like but lifting/dropping the needle may cure this!! So now for the question?? Does anybody no what jets to try to make the full power range improve or what needle to try?? Its just set at 280 standard at the moment. By the feeling it gives at the moment this could be beneficial if i could get it running just right! This must of been done before but can it work, and also someone told me they take some setting up at different venues so is it advisable? Cheers Gav
