Hi, I'm new to trials, I've got the bike (a Fantic 245), I've sent off the ACU application and club membership forms, but I would like to know where I can ride close(ish) to London. I've searched the net but only found MX tracks or a farm in Cornwall! I want to ride as much as possible, not just at club trials.

where abouts do you live?

Central London, so I can go anywhere within reason.

south of the river (don't know the other side very well) out in Kent, Sussex and Surrey tehre aren't really any "practice" ground like they have in say MX. on the other hand there are at lest one (if not more) events every weekend (see http://www.southeasttrialscombine.org.uk/ ). look out for wobbler trials or pre65 events with a mdoern novice class to get pracitce. some clubs (like owls, bexlyheath, etc) run a club series of really low key trials - having ridden a few wobbler events by OWLS that are run alongside their club events they are perfect for anyone getting into trials. jsut go out there and give it a go!
