Hi Can Anyone Help With Gas Gas Question

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is inthe wrong area couldn't find other topics.

The slave cylinder on my 1996 gas gas had leaking seals so we got a new one a service kit which includes a new piston only this one has a spring at the back with a recessed groove for it. Is this an updated version and if using the spring how will the piston be able to retract when the clutch lever is released.

Thanks for any ideas Doogzie

The kit you have is correct. The light spring was added in around 1992. The piston retracts from the clutch spring pressure overcoming the hydraulic piston which would have no other force acting against it when the clutch lever is released.

Bye, PeterB.
