October 15, 200718 yr Does anyone know If you can get road legal tyres that are also good for trials? if so what are they? Tom
October 15, 200718 yr i believe that michelin trials tyres are road legal but it does state not for road use in USA & CANADA, as far as im aware but i may be wrong they are legal within the EU.
October 15, 200718 yr Michelin do a trials tyre which looks the same as an X11 and is used on the Beta Alp but I believe they only do this in tubed and it is a harder compound than the X11. I've used one on my DRZ Suzuki and they certainly last longer than a normal trials tyre.
October 15, 200718 yr correct me if i'm wrong but aren't all tyres legal where the studs widths are bigger than the spaces between them
October 15, 200718 yr Author mine say for trials competition only so im assuming they arent road legal. however the do meet the requirements for trear width/patter etc...the only other thing i can think of is the compound thats not legal? Tom
October 15, 200718 yr Michelin X11 tyres are road legal in the UK. as long as you can read the mark on the tyre wall that says MST ( multi surface tread ) they will pass an MOT and the nice gentlemen in blue will check this when they pull you over asking who stole your seat !!
